Answer/Perform the following comprehensively:

1. Using your own definition, what is Home Economics?


Home economics is a school subject that teaches housework, cooking, gardening and
much more. This is one of the reasons why many now have jobs in restaurants, hotels,
agricultural and aquatic businesses and many more. In earlier times, the concept of home
economics was only for women's work but over time, it has also become open to men
especially and it will add specializations such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry and many
more. Businesses from home economics are also one of the reasons for the rise of the
economy.

2. Explain the TLE framework during a scheduled online class with the professor.

3. How are you going to cope up teaching TLE specialization that is not aligned to your line of
expertise?
As a future educator, part of my job is to be flexible and not just focus on one
specialization but instead is to be more open to other possibilities. To cope to the given
scenario, it will be more helpful for myself if i read more, research and explore different
lessons to become more familiar and to cope with different topics and subjects that are not
aligned with my specialization. That is also one of the talents of teachers, especially here in
the Philippines, being good at various courses because of the need for a teacher to teach that
subject. As a future Educator of computer programming, I am still open to the possibilities
to teach other courses and subjects and I think here I will discover my flexibility as a teacher,
and also it serves as my experiences and i am not hesitate to serve my knowledge to the
future generation.
4. Create a photo essay captured in various settings within your home. You are free to choose
whatever themes and platform you will use. Just make sure your photo essay conveys the
relevance of Home Economics to student’s lives. Paste your photo essay below.

The pictures I posted were the pictures I saw in our house that I studied and learned when I
had the Home Economics subject. HE has been a big part of having a smooth movement and
beautification of the home. Those who will learn in school about home economics, you can do it
and perform even if you are just at home Not only can cooking or gardening be done at home, we
can also do home decorating, handicrafts, sewing that can be earned and studying home economics
also helps a lot in family budgeting. Life becomes easier when we study home economics ourselves
and we can adjust to life more easily if we are aware of the things taught in home economics.
Gender is not the basis of the study of Home economics and any specialization related to home
economics.
