1. Wood Studs — 38 mm by 89 mm, spaced 400 mm OC max, effectively firestopped. Horizontal bracing at 5 ft OC
max constructed of same studs installed at center.
2. Joints — Joints covered with paper tape and two layers of joint compound.
3. Screwheads — Screwheads covered with two layers of joint compound.
4. Gypsum Board* — 12.5 mm thick paper surfaced, with tapered edges, 1200 mm wide, applied vertically in two
layers. Inner layer attached to studs with 41 mm long Type S steel screws spaced 150 mm at the perimeter and in the
field, starting 65 mm from the edges. Outer layer attached to the studs over the inner layer with 57 mm long Type S
steel screws spaced 200 mm O.C. at the perimeter and in the field, starting 25 mm from the edges. Joints of outer
layer offset from inner layer joints and joints staggered on opposite sides of the assembly.
