Activity-
Bingo which I get students to engaged in whole class practice by playing bingo. Actually, this was a fun
activity because at the end I give them a simple prize like stickers or a piece of candy for winning each
round. This bingo game practices finding factors and finding greatest common factors. Each student
gets a unique game card and I have a set of problem cards that we work through in a random order.
Once they got the answer that means that is bingo
Discussion- in discussion I will introduce them different type of stategies to get them the greatest
common factor and I will let them do that strategies and make them choose if they want to apply
what they are usually using or the other one that I choose, usually we need to ask them so they know
that they have the freewill to choose
What I mean by different type of stategies in getting the gcf is:
1. Listing method
2. Factorization method ‘
3. Continuous division method
Input- next is to ask them to do an example question and which they may used the best way of
strategies that they can apply they may also used the 3 strategies and choose the best thaat they
think is the simple to used and they will answer their own question. after that they are going to share
what they choose and how it was easy for them to answer the question because of ne information
and strategies that they choose
Deepening- in this way we can add a little spice where in we will do in a real life scenario. For
example:
Diane and Quentin want to exchange one of their dimes and one of their quarters for coins that are all
a single denomination. What is the largest value coin for which they can do this? In this conversation,
students may note that although pennies with the 1 cent value would be a solution that converts their
dime and quarter, the nickels with its 5 cent value would be of largest value, and fewer coins as well.
Therefore, a common denomination of 5 cents would be the GCF of 10 and 25 cents
Assessment- this will like mixed of simple problem and a real life problem solving example:
1. 5 and 25
2. Sarah has 45 in her pocket while her friend has 85 they wanted to buy the newest album of there
kpop idol but they didn’t know what will left by them.
Synthesis-
This can be in a form of recitation depending on the grade level that we are handling but as much as
possible this could be an informal approach wherein the teacher may ask the student on what they
have learn or any clarification? Summarizing what they learned can be in a form of assignment
