MODULE 2: UNDERSTANDING THE LEARNING DELIVERY

MODALITIES IN THE BASIC EDUCATION LEARNING
CONTINUITY PLAN

Lesson 1: Overview of the Learning Delivery Modalities

Activity 1:

1. For me, modality refers to a necessity, possibility, mode or

technique of transferring and conveying information. These
are also ways or practices that can be applied for the effective
delivery of teaching-learning processes and procedures.
2. Learning Delivery Modalities that does not use face-to-face
learning component are:
a. Distance Learning. This type of modality maybe
referred to as “Online learning”. This learning can be
conducted and implemented through online and with
the use of internet. The use of online learning
platforms, such as Google classrooms, Edmodo, and
webinars using Google Meet, Zoom, are useful in
conducting online learning and teaching processes.
This learning type may also include the
implementation of Modular Distance Learning (MDL)
through the distribution of printed modules.
b. Home Schooling. This type of modality may be referred
to an Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM), which can be
participated by out-of-school youths (OSY), and can be
conducted at home through printed modules, or
through tutorial classes.
