 IDENTIFICATION OF TRAINING NEEDS OR PROBLEM OF SCHOOL PERSONNEL


THROUGH TSNA

To guarantee that the school is moving towards progress, it is a must that its needs and
problems are identified foremost before any action is done. This practice helps the school heads
to carefully plan for the projects to be implemented in order to attain the improvements which
they aspire. Being able to identify the aspects which need rigid attention is also one way to save
energy and time because if everything is planned and organized, repetition of work and activities
will be minimized and avoided.

 CONDUCT OF DIFFERENT STRATEGIES SUCH AS THE FOCAL GROUP DISCUSSION


(FGD), ORIENTATION, COACHING AND MEETING

With the vast demands of the teaching and learning process, various strategies are to be
employed so that fruitful outcomes will be achieved. For instance, in addressing concerns, the
teachers choose the appropriate avenues for the discussion of these matters. If the issues are just
bound among few individuals, focal group discussions (FGD) and short meetings are conducted.
If the topics to be discussed are for public consumption, an orientation will be planned,
organized and facilitated to be able to relay the information to everyone. In addition, coaching is
also considered as a best practice for it allows one to share his/her expertise to other people.

 TAPPING THE RIGHT FACILITATORS IN CONDUCTING LAC

Conducting LAC sessions is an opportunity to learn, relearn and unlearn. Therefore, it is


a must that the ones who will facilitate are equipped with total package of knowledge and skills
about the topics to be discussed. They must know almost everything about their topics so that
they can manifest confidence in discussing in front of the teachers and they can also be able to
answer related questions about their talk. On the other hand, if the teacher-audience are aware
that the speakers in LAC are the ones who are knowledgeable, they will attentively listen and
take it seriously.

 IMPLEMENT, EVALUATE AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK

This practice is crucial and important for it determines how the next LAC will be
planned, organized and executed. It shapes the next LAC session into its perfection so that the
quality of imparting and taking knowledge and skills will be effective and efficient. All
criticisms either positive or negative are noted so that best practices will be given merits and the
aspects which need improvement will be scrutinized and resolved.
 APPLICATION IN THE TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS

Spending time, money, effort and energy in conducting LAC session should never be put
into waste that is why verification if learning takes place is a must. This practice may be
considered as the heart of all the accomplishments is LAC because it is where a teacher will
materialize the insights, knowledge and skills which transpired during the sessions. The LAC
session is said to be successful if the results gained from it brought favorable learning outcomes
from the students.

 MAXIMIZING THE RESOURCES OF THE LAC

The resources referred to in this practice are the learning resources such as print
materials, computer applications, teaching styles and strategies, classroom management
techniques and the other teaching and learning related breakthroughs that can be shared by any
of the participants in the LAC sessions. The time given to the teachers to be gathered together
becomes a channel for them to share what they have and know so that learning will be more
interesting, fun and effective among the learners.

 PROFESSIONAL DEELOPMENT TO IMPROVE TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS

LAC sessions are also rare chances to sit down and be updated with the issues and
concerns of the teachers, the students and the school. Being able to mingle with the other
department is a good way to widen one’s perception and knowledge about the important matters
regarding education.
