What Are The Features of Radio Drama-Script

The key features of radio drama are dialogue, music and sound effects. Dialogue helps convey the story through the characters' voices while music and sound effects set the scene and help the audience visualize what is happening. Actors use only their voice to portray different characters and don't need gestures or facial expressions. Radio dramas are often pre-recorded and can be edited, allowing scenes to be played multiple times until the best take is achieved. Actors read their lines from scripts during recording rather than memorizing them.

WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF RADIO DRAMA?

FIRST OF ALL…
1.Radio drama uses sound to convey ideas to the audience. The sound may be in
the form of dialogue, sound effects, or music…... The main features of radio Drama
include and depend on dialogue, music and sound effects which are either created by a
computer or the human voice. These are the main components because they help the
listener (audience) imagine and see the story in their minds, …almost most like a
paggamit ng sound effects at background music ay importante when it comes to
makatutuhanan.

SECONDLY
2.Actors can play more than one part from moment to moment as only voice
needs to be altered…..dito po pumapasok ung pagkaversitel ng boses ng isang
actor
lalo kaya nyang ibahin ung boses nya pwede nyang iportray un as long as
THEN
3.Actors use voice alone to convey character. They do not need to use action,
gesture, or facial expression as the audience cannot see it. So hind na po
kailangan ang movement/action gesture or facial expression Ang pinakapuhunan
po nila is ung voice po nila .
NEXT
4.There is no need for blocking or stage business in a radio drama. Actors may
however need to plan movement to and from the microphone….importante po ung
maxadong malapit maaring matouch mo ung mike or mas malakas ung boses mo
which maaring mgbgay ng defect don sa play.
NEXT
5. Radio play scenes are often shorter that stage plays.
NEXT
 6. Radio drama may not be 'live' in front of an audience. A radio drama is usually
recorded and played to the audience at another time. This means that, like a film,
scenes may not be played in order and scenes can be played more than once to
get the best 'take' if necessary. The drama can also be edited to add in
nagkakaroon ng another take if mali or hnd mganda ung kuha hanggat hnd ito
nakukuhan ng maayos at magnda. The drama can also be edited to add in
LASTLY
 7. Actors don't have to learn their lines. Actors can read their lines from the
script as this is not seen by the audience. Actors do have to be very familiar with
their lines and to have rehearsed how they will use their voice to tell the audience
about the character and the action.
Hind po nila kailangan imemorize ung lines nila because actors can read their lines
from the script kasi hnd namn po sila nakikitas.the important is actors do have to
be very familiar with their lines so they need to rehearse/ ensayuhin po nila ung
boses na gagampanan nila.

So don’t forget po that we have 7 features of radio drama but we have 3 main

So this is the sample script of radio drama

I would like to share this quotes to all of you dear teachers..it is a simple one pero
napakalalim po ang ibig sabhin
