CONTEMPORARY WORLD

The role of religion in the different facets of societal orderliness and human existence is

extremely significant. It is considered as the most substantial influence that has impacted our

lives, the way we face triumph and struggles. Accordingly, religion, as the most significant

non-economic element, likewise leaves evidences that has molded our faith, religious

mindset, positiveness and culture that are reflected as we indulge in various aspects of the

society.

With the fast changing modernization and societal advancement that continuously seek

for ways to threat and dominate over our religious beliefs, religion is consistent in striving to

draw its people back in faith and adapt the environment we are currently living in. People

around the world, as economic development and modernization are seen, they are becoming

more religious everyday and consider it as their weapon in battling with this corrupted

society. Religions continuously penetrate our life and is considered as key determinant in

building an established society with disciplined citizens.

Moreover, In the face of globalization and Western liberal modernization, religion

remains unrest and definitely plays a significant part in helping us to go through in the middle

of industrial and civil disturbances.

In an economic perspective, religions and its various teachings of personal beliefs and

institutions can permeate countries’ economic activities to provide nation’s optimism towards

economic success and to attain societal evolution. Religion, as influencer of our society,
alleviates poverty, promotes political participation, maintains ethics, advocates mental health,

speaks about equality and human rights -- all these sprung as development of religion during

this era of modernization, and continuously becoming more significant as ever and is taking

voice in different part of the world. This proves the perspective that as society and economic

progresses, religion is also taking substantial advantages for the benefit of the people.
