LESSON 1: COURSE OVERVIEW

1. What is the main delivery of this course?


The Learning Delivery Modalities Course 2 is a task-oriented course. It is an urgent action of
DepED to this ongoing pandemic. LDMS2 is also an independent learning module that does not
require thorough discussion in deepening the teacher’s understanding on the different
modalities for the New Normal Education. The lessons in this course are also self-contained
which give opportunity for teacher participants to learn and study at their own pace. It is a task-
oriented that requires outputs and reflections in every module.

2. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to deliver quality instruction in the “new
normal”?
Since we are in the midst of pandemic, a game changer, forcing everyone to rethink how
learning can continue, the Department f Education suggested different learning modalities. This
course offered a great help to ensure the delivery of quality education/instruction for it helps
teachers to be prepared for distant learning in this new normal situation. It also envisioned to be
a helpful guide in improving the performance of teachers.

3. What are the two support mechanisms that will help you with your learning in this course?

1. My prior knowledge gained and acquired from various webinars and free online course I
attended that are all connected to this course.
2. The expertise and support of colleagues who always give insifghts, enlightenments, and
support for the benefit of the whole school and learners.

I always believe that teachers need to upgrade their knowledge and skills to prepare
themselves to face changing world despite their years of experience in the teaching
profession. I think my compassion and love strongly affect positively in studying this
course. However, there are some factors that may affect my full participation towards this
course. Some of which are: internet connectivity, availability of time and some technical
difficulties.

LESSON 2: ORGANIZING YOUR LEARNING ACTION CELL (LAC)
ACTIVITY 1
Begin by refreshing your memory on the Learning Action Cell. Read DepEd Order No. 35 s. 2016 titled
“The Learning Action Cell as the K to 12 Basic Education Program School Based Continuing Professional
Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning.” Once you’re done, answer the
following questions. Write your responses and any other ideas and reflections in your Study Notebook.

1. Reflect on the objectives for conducting LAC sessions as listed in DO 35, s. 2016.

1. Availability of gadgets and stable intrnet connections. Since we are in the midst of pandemic,
most LAC Sessions are thru virtual, therefore, strong and stable communication/ onternet
connectivity is a must.

2. Agenda. Identif relevant and timely topics to be discussed.

3. LAC schedule. Sessions must be schedule ahead of tim to avoid conflicts.

According to DO 35, s. 2016, a LAC should have no less than 2 but not more than 15 members each. Get
in touch with your designated Coach or LAC Leader in forming your LACs.
