The Amazon Kindle Engineering Support team provides tier 3/4 production engineering support and is
also responsible for providing multifaceted services to the Kindle digital product family of development
teams and working with production operations teams for software product release coordination and
deployment. This job requires you to hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and work
on disparate and overlapping tasks that will define your success.
Basic Qualifications:
● BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
● 2+ years overall development/technical support experience
● Experience in Perl/Python/shell scripts
● Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system
● Knowledge of Java-based technologies
● Ability to write intermediate level database queries. SQL skills.
● Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, workflow modelling, web application
development, and industry-standard commerce systems
