Assignment Website Development Assignment 1
Assignment Website Development Assignment 1
My portfolio is for interested employers, based in Versarien Technologies, that wish to look
upon further information about me. The plan is for the portfolio to be easy to navigate and
easy to read. I would like a respectable balance of multimedia and text so the portfolio will
still be professional but not difficult to follow, otherwise my potential employer may believe
that I’m boring or not as capable as other potential employees. The advantage of an online
portfolio is employers can view anywhere and anytime as long as there is an internet
connection, another perk is that I can upload documents and files of all kinds, so my
portfolio will be capable of presenting my previous work examples – in return I expect this
to encourage employers to hire me because they can see the quality of work performance
results.

Personally, the reason I decided not to use this is because it does not represent me and my
creativity. I need my employers to understand me as a person as well as me as a worker. The
originals have moving animations and multiple navigation routes to pages or links – which in result
may be recognised by the user and will see that I take accessibility into mind when making design.
Practically the reason I didn’t choose this is because: it’s more difficult to create and because of that
many errors my occur. It is not very engaging for the user and doesn’t follow current website trends
which will affect my user feedback.
Personally, the reason I didn’t choose this is because it looks very basic. Because of this I may come
across as lazy or unable to make an effective site from the point of view of my potential employer. It
looks like it would’ve been made with HTML which is not the latest nor the most effective code
language to use to date.
