2. Triple check the power cord polarity. The coloured line on the cable
(pin number one) is the -1 2V rail.

3. If you plug the module backwards you might burn it out and
unfortunately this is not covered by the warranty.

INTRODUCTION I N STRU M EN T I N TERFACE

Instrument Interface is an eurorack pre-amp capable to bring any type of audio signal to modular levels
thanks to its amplification circuit.
The module can drive regular and condenser microphones (+48V Phantom Powered ) as well as Instrument
and Line signals with a very low distortion ratio.
Going further from the regular pre-amp operation, Instrument Interface offers some additional extra functions
like a Trig/Gate extractor and Envelope Follower circuits, allowing you to use the character of your audio
signal in more creative ways

won 't be a pl easure experi en ce for your ears ; )

I f you wan t to use a m i croph on e j ust pl ug your Can on /XLR cabl e


an d turn on th e +48V swi tch i f n eeded. Th e sel ecti on swi tch
doesn 't h ave effect h ere.

Adj ust th e l evel of your sign al wi th th e Gai n pot an d th e


Vum eter. Th i s Vum eter sh ows th e l evel of th e Output sign al,
wh i ch m ean s th at on th e poi n t m arked as 0, your sign al wi l l
h ave an am pl i tude of +/-5V.

dyn am i c con ten t of our audi o sign al to gen erate an en vel ope
th at we can use to m odul ate oth er param eters of our setup.

Wi th th e respon se con trol s, you can adj ust th e reacti on ti m e of


th e en vel ope to th e am pl i tude ch an ges of th e audi o sign al.

Wi th fast setti n gs, th e en vel ope reacts faster to th e tran si en ts


gen erati n g a sign al m ore si m i l ar to th e origi n al, bei n g th e sam e
wi th th e faders on th ei r m i n i m um posi ti on .

At l ow rates, th e en vel ope reacts sl ower to th e tran si en ts


creati n g a con tour th at on ly covers th e l on ger dyn am i cs ch an ges
of th e sign al. Th i s i s parti cul l ary useful i f you wan t to use
sustai n ed parts of your audi o sign al i n your en vel ope.

Th e En v Level pot sets th e am pl i tude of th e resul tan t en vel ope


sign al from 0 to 1 0V i f you use th e Posi ti ve Output an d 0 to
-1 0V i f you use th e I n verted Output.

N ote : th e resul tan t en vel ope i s n ot affected by th e Gai n pot of


th e Pream p Secti on .
