Buttons

Button Usage
STWX Move through the menu. Edit value of the parameter
select Toggle between the last two indications (only NXS)
enter Confirm selections. Press 3 seconds to reset the error
history
reset Reset an active error
start Start the motor if the keypad is the active control source
stop Stop the motor if the keypad is the active control source

8.3 Troubleshooting
Manual Control
For troubleshooting the keypad can be activated to control
the GFU.
y Change value P3.1 from 1 to 2.
– NXS: Menu M3 “Keypad control”
– NXL: Menu K3
y Set the value P3.2 to nominal frequency.
y Press the START button on the GFU. The display shows [RUN].
y Start the unit with the key switch.
y Vary the value of P3.2 with the UP or DOWN button.

8.4 Error Messages


An error remains active until it is cleared with the reset button
or via reset signal from the I/O terminal.

Type Meaning
A Alarm: Unusual operating condition. No impact on the drive.
Only shown for 30 seconds.
F Fault: Drive stopped. Measures must be taken to restart the
drive.
AR Autoreset: Drive stopped and automatically restarted.
FT Fault trip: See error type F.

The replacement must meet the motor requirements.

Enter the parameters according to the control cabinet sticker


after a replacement or upon “Loading the default values”.

The motor parameter must be set according to the motor


rating plate if not indicated on the control cabinet sticker.

9.2 Operation
Operation Modes

Disabled GFU does not emit voltage
Stop GFU ready but the “Start” command is missing
Not enabled Internal “Operation release” command is missing
Trip GFU switched off due to a trip. The reason is shown
on the status field.
Loading DC-link voltage is not yet reached
Mains off Power supply failed during operation
Mains Safety trip is triggered by the “Mains ON/OFF”
disconnected command
Locked GFU blocked by a remote “Cut-off” command. Local
mode is still possible.

9.3 Matrix Level
9.3.1 Level A
Activate level A1 to store changed parameter values.

Verify that F6.02 = 0. Enter 1234 at level F6.00 to change the


parameter value.

Not all parameter can be modified if the start command is


given.

Set F2.00 = 1 to reset all parameters except motor values to


default. Set F2.01 = 1 reset the motor values to default.

Level A1 (MatriX)
Level A1 can only read out or modified by using the service
software MatriX 2.0.

Level Meaning
A1.00 Save backup. When parametrizing with MATRIX software,
A1.00 is used for saving. Procedure: Send 1 “Store backup”,
wait for the feedback 2 “Stored”, send 0 “Start - 0 -> 1”.

9.4 Troubleshooting
Test power part
This test is used to register possible ground contacts on the
motor side of the GFU.
y Activate the technical test [t_18] on the MICONIC controller.
– Wait until the display of the controller shows [t_r0].
y Start the power part test at level F1.00 at the GFU.
– Wait until the test is completed. Read the message of the GFU
display:

Message Meaning
0 Set value to 1 to start the test
1 Test lower part
2 Test upper part
3 No earth fault. The motor is well.
4 Earth fault ! Short-circuit to ground on the motor side
5 Test is not possible

Test control part


This test is used to check the data transfer.

y Activate control part test at level F1.01 at the GFU.


– The MICONIC controller will switch off the GFU and show [E_2d].

Manuel control
y Start the unit with the key switch.
y Switch the GFU to local with the Local/Remote button.
y Vary the output frequency with the UP or DOWN button until units
stops with error underspeed or 15% overspeed.

9.6 Replacement
The replacement must meet the motor requirements.

Enter the parameter level B - F according to the control


cabinet sticker after the replacement or upon “Loading the
default values”.

The motor parameters must be set according to the motor


rating plate if not indicated on the control cabinet sticker.

y Switch OFF and padlock the main switch JHA.


y Replace the defective device.

10.2 Function Check
y Switch ON the power supply of the light curtain.
y Cover the top- and bottom-most light barrier of the light curtain.
y Start the unit with the key switch.
y Stop the unit with the stop button.
– The display of the light curtain control unit must show [01] = Unit
occupied.
y Remove the cover from the bottom-most light barrier.
– The display must show the number of the top-most light barrier.
y Remove the cover from the top-most light barrier.
– The display must show [00] = Unit not occupied.
– The unit should start automatically.

10.3 Replacement
Check the skirt lenses for dirt and scratches which can be
the cause of the malfunction before replacing a transmitter
or receiver.

Transmitter circuit is colored in black.


Receiver circuit is colored in red.
Do not mix.
y Switch OFF and padlock all power supply switches (JHA, light
circuit, heating).
y Alternately loosen the two fixing screws of the defective device.
y Disconnect the defective device from the ribbon cable.
y Remove the O-ring and check it for damage. Replace it if damaged.
y Insert the O-ring into the new device.
y Connect the new device to the ribbon cable.
y Secure the connector with the fixing screws. Do not use force.
y Fit the device to the bracket.
y Switch ON the unit and check the function.

11 Balustrade lighting
DANGER
High Voltage!
Contact to high voltage can lead to death.
Switch OFF the circuit breaker in the building and secure it against
accidental or unauthorized access.

Troubleshooting
y Switch OFF and padlock the power supply of the balustrade
lighting.
y Bridge one tube at the time with a high voltage insulated cable.
y Switch ON the power supply.
– If the tubes light up the bridged tube is defective.
y Switch OFF and padlock the power supply of the balustrade
lighting.
y Replace defective tube and silicone caps.
