therecommendationoftheRegionalDirectorendorsedbythe
CPPO/OICwithintheirrespectiveareasofjurisdiction.
• VPAsoappointedmayholdofficeduringgoodbehaviorforaterm
oftwo(2)years,renewableattheendofeachtermasendorsed
bytheCPPO/OICrecommendedbytheRegionalDirectortothe
Administrator.
• The term of office shall commence on the date of his/her
appointment.

AllappointmentsbeforetheeffectivityofRA10707shallbedeemed
terminatedbuteligibleforrenewalupontheendorsementofthe
CPPO/OIC and recommended by the Regional Director to the
Administrator.

• VPAs shall not receive any regular
compensation except for reasonable
transportation and meal allowance for
services rendered as VPA in handling
supervision cases, as approved by the
DBM.

Duties of VPA
1. Assist the Probation Officer in
supervision of probationer
2. Prepare and submit reports and
record of his work as may be
required by probation offices
3. Assist the probation officer in
mobilization of community support
for probation program

Functions of VPA
1. Work in close coordination and cooperation with the Supervising
Officer.
2. Keep all information about the supervisee in strict confidentiality.
3. Maintain an honest recording and monthly reporting of activities
to the Supervising Officer.
4. Devote a substantial and quality time for supervision of clients
and perform the following tasks:
1. offer guidance and counseling
2. act as job placement facilitator
3. implement treatment objectives as provided for in the program of supervision
4. refer to corresponding agencies clients with spiritual, mental, social,
emotional, economic, physical or health needs
5. act as resource individual

the Probation Aides, the Probation Offices shall
duly consider their respective
