This project proposal aims to raise funds for people with disabilities (PWDs) through social media during the COVID-19 pandemic. It plans to partner with social media influencers and streamers to conduct "stream for a cause" fundraising events. The funds raised will be used to provide cash assistance to PWDs for their medical and daily needs. The project will organize fundraising campaigns on multiple social media platforms from February to June 2021 and distribute aid to PWDs in July. It seeks to raise awareness of PWDs' struggles during the pandemic and help the government support them.

Raising funds for PWD's with the use of Social Media

: This Project Proposal was entitled “ Raising funds for PWD’S with
the use of Social Media”

Introduction:
In this midst of pandemic,many people lost their job because most of the
companies and businesses are shutdown.And people are looking for new
ways to earn money.Normal people are struggling to pay for their bills and
needs,what more for a person with disability? Moreover,they need money
for their medications and therapy too.So our team come up with an idea to
help PWDs that are in great need.It is to use social media to raise funds
with the help of streamers and influencers.During this lockdown,most of the
people are on their phone so we will take advantage of that and caught
their attention using social media platforms to raise funds.We want to
collaborate with streamers and influencers that have thousands of viewers
to do "stream for a cause" or "vlog fund raising".This is the most efficient
and fastest way that we can think of to raise money that will be used to help
PWDs that are in need.And we need a sponsor to make this project
happen.

Purpose:
•To let other people know especially to those who are blessed that they can
share their blessings with the person with a disability.
•To raise the VOICE of PWD's to the society that they're the most affected
people struggling in this pandemic period.
•And let the government know or be aware that they have some special
needs that need attention.
•To help the PWD's situations in life and in this time of the pandemic. As
fellow Filipinos, we care for each other.
Project description:
Aims to address the needs of people with disabilities and their families as
well. People with disabilities face difficulty during this pandemic because
they belong to a group of people who are much more vulnerable to the
virus. For that reason, we arrived at the idea of distributing cash assistance
to the family of the PWDs.Raising awareness to all that these people are in
need of financial and emotional support too.We aim to help and support
them through social media program.We need to get on touch with social
media influencers who will be wiling to participate in our find raising for
PWD’’s . We also need to get in touch with LGU’s in order for them to reach
out to influencers and streamers to make our “stream for a cause” possible.
Outcome:
In this way we can make good use of social media to raise funds to help
PWD’S that are in great need.

Objectives:
To execute this proposed project, our team will organize a fund-raising on
different social media platforms. Also, our team will be looking for
streamers and influencers who are willing to support this project. The
streamers and influencers can use their preferred social media platforms to
promote this project. They can also do a video and upload it on platforms
like YouTube, IGTv, and TikTok. We will also apply for different
sponsorships so we can raise more funds. Our team will provide different
bank accounts where people can send their cash donations. Our target
start of this project is on the first day of February 2021 and will end by the
last day of June. The target of the distribution of cash assistance is on the
third week of July in celebration of the National Disability Prevention and
Rehabilitation Week.

Methodology:
Our team came up with an idea on how to give help to the PWD's in this
time of pandemic and ways how to execute it. The following are our
strategies for the completion of the objectives addressed in the previous
section.

1. Our target is to help the PWD's with their demands particularly their
everyday needs and medication. With that, we know that in today's
generation there are a lot of rising stars because of social media and this is
one of our strategies to raise a budget for our goal.
2. We'll search for the influencers or streamers that will help to raise funds.
By this,many people will be able to help since their chosen social media
influencer or streamers supports our aim.

3. We'll also encourage our Local Government Units (LGU) in our

community to support the commission of the chosen social media
influencer or streamers. The LGU's are a great help for us to carry out our
project.

4. When the LGUs approves our project, we'll conduct a program in every
barangay in our community for our PWD's. It is time for us to use the funds
raised by social media influencers or streamers. The program that we'll
conduct will ensure that every need of PWD's will met, particulary those
who have lost their jobs. This includes free check-up, medication,
therapies, and their everyday needs.

This project will be finish by the end of June when we raise enough money.
And by that time cash aid will be given to PWD’s to help their medication
and everyday needs.
