QUARTER 3 – MODULE 5
Part I
I. INTRODUCTION
Hi, there! How do you do? In this module, you are expected to relate your
personal experiences to stories heard. Do you feel sad because you cannot go out and
visit many places due to the pandemic? Do you miss going to school and being with
your classmates? Have you experienced being scolded by your parents because you
used too much of your gadgets? Do you notice your parents’ eagerness to still look for
ways to provide for your everyday living in this time of pandemic? If your answer is
YES to some of these questions, then you happen to experience these in real life
situation. So let’s start!
II. READINGS
Experiences are part of life that teach lessons, be it your personal or others’
experiences. These experiences serve as mentor that help one to shape his or her
personality. Just like the stories you have heard, it will be easy for you to relate on it
because you have experienced them as well.
Through listening to stories, your personal experiences help you understand
such. It will be easy for you to comprehend it because you have undergone that
situation and you can connect it to your own experiences.
When you can relate your personal experiences to text heard then it means that
you understand it. In this interconnection, you are also given the chance to express
yourself by sharing your experience.

Mama said, “You’ve been good this week. We will give you a treat."
At the cinema, Papa went to line up while we waited at the side. When it was
Papa’s turn to buy the tickets, a teenager broke into the line and went right in front
of Papa. Oops, it’s my turn. You just came. Please go to the end of the line,” Papa
told him.
“But I’m in a hurry, answered the teenager.
He went to the end of the line. Papa bought three tickets and we went
into the cinema.

“Why did you not let the teenager go first, Papa?”
“It was not fair to all those who waited. We must always remember to stay in
