1. What does the document want to convey?


It conveys the message about the Proclamation of Philippine Independence in
Kawit Cavite on June 12, 1898. It states there that we Filipinos are free under Spain
Crown. Moreover, it is about conferring upon the famous Dictator Don Emilio Aguinaldo
all the powers necessary to enable him to discharge the duties of Government, including
the prerogatives of granting pardon and amnesty. And lastly, it aslo discussed the
meaning of the symbols of the Philippine flag.

It is a really important document indeed for it reminds us Filipinos of the day we

education and freedom (it is the book that symbolizes these). And we will have a bright
future (the light symbolizes it) and a much better civilization if we only let Americans be
our leader in the Philippines.
