ACTIVITY 2

A. Study the Reading on Portfolios from the Glossary of Education Reform. Based on your
reading, reflect on the following questions and jot down your answers in your Study
Notebook.
1. How will your Portfolio help you in tracking the progress of your teaching
practice in your School's LDM?

 Portfolio is a collection of evidence to prove that learning has taken place.

It is also a compilation of academic works and other forms of educational
evidence assembled for the purpose of (1) evaluating coursework, learning
progress and achievement; (2) determining whether we have met the
learning standards of this LDM; (3) reflecting on our teaching progress as
teachers; and (4) creating a lasting archive of learning products,
accomplishments, and other documents. By completing my portfolio in
LAC sessions about LDMs, I am now ready for the challenge of the new
normal way of teaching and go with the flow that this new trend of
education will bring us. I can now easily scan my finished portfolio and
review the lessons I’ve learned in this LDM. First if I will make my
lessons, go to the topic about preparing MELCs, choose what learning
resources is essential to my topic by referring to Learning Resources and
download it in DepEd portals.

REFLECTION
 This portfolio may be used to show my growth over time, it may be used
to promote a one’s abilities, or it may be used to evaluate a one’s learning
within a specific course.
2. What evidence from the previous modules will help capture the progress of your
teaching practice?
 From the previous modules, the following evidences will help monitor my
teaching practice:

1. Unpacking of the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs)

2. Learning tasks for DL

3. Weekly Home Learning Plan

4. Individual Learning Monitoring Plan

3. Why is writing down your reflections an integral part of your Portfolio?

 Writing a reflection is advantageous for me as it assess my work and it allows

me to develop a critical awareness of my own skill development, which helps
me identify my own strengths and weaknesses.

ACTIVITY 3
Familiarize yourself with the List of Suggested Evidence Form. Is the list of evidence enough
to capture the progress of your teaching practice? What other evidence can you think of that
is relevant to the LDM adopted by your School? Write down your answers and other
insights in your Study Notebook.

LESSON 2: THE EVALUATION RUBRIC

ACTIVITY 1
1. Study the criteria and indicators found in the Evaluation Rubric. What steps will you take
to ensure that you are able to hit the criteria in the Rubric? Write down your answers and
any other thoughts about the Rubric in your Study Notebook.
 Reading: gathering evidence of new knowledge and information from texts,
articles, teaching resources
 Writing: formal and informal writing that demonstrates thoughtfulness and
integration of new knowledge
 Thinking: making new meaning, connecting ideas, taking stock, constructing
new perspectives
 Interacting: sharing ideas, discussing and defending, actively constructing
insights during LAC SESSIONS.

ACTIVITY 2
1. Discuss and share your thoughts on the Rubric in your LAC Session. Present your steps
to make your outputs and Portfolio responsive to the evaluation criteria and indicators. Take
note of your colleagues' other insights as well.
 The criteria and performance-level descriptions in rubrics help us teachers to
understand what the desired performance is and what it looks like. It guides
us how we will know to enhance the quality of their performance. . My co-
teacher has presented some evidence that using this kind of rubric helps
teachers learn, and it has invited us to pursue our own evidence, in our
specific classroom instructions and school context.
