1 Verify that fan have be provided as specified


2 Check equipment delivered to the site for compliance with
requirements. Ensure that rating and test certificates have
been provided as required
3 Check the fan orientation & rotation before permanent power
is provided, as submittals
4 Check the type of motor enclosure and IP, as specified
5 Check fan drives. Where belt driven, check means of
adjustment
6 Check that guards have been provided for rotating equipment
and belts, as submittals
7 Check for pulley and belt adjustment.
8 Check that seals, sleeves and bearings have been provided
as specified. Where lubricating type bearings have been
permitted, check for access without the need to dismantle the
fan or disconnect ductwork

9 Check that equipment has been mounted securely


10 Check that anti-vibration-isolators and flexible connections
have bee provided as specified
11 Check equipment for excess noise and vibration
12 Check exhaust fan back-draft dampers, as required
13 Check the operation of dampers. Dampers should not rattle
and felt strips should be provided for back-draft dampers
14 Check that a separate frame has been provided in opening
on which the dampers are mounted
15 Check the installation of fire dampers, as required
16 Check that the type of filters have been provided as specified

17 Check thickness and method of mounting and support


18 Check that access has been provided for the removal and
replacement of filters
19 Check that the air stream will be distributed uniformly over
the filter
20 Check operation and maintenance access
21 Check that discharge air is not directed towards air intakes

22 Check that fire safety switches have been provided on return


air ducts of circulation systems, as required
23 Check the installation of smoke detectors where required
