For me, in terms of practicality; I would suggest the oral spelling test. Obviously it is practical in its sense, because on the part of the teacher, it is easier and quick. And on the part of the students, if they wouldn’t know the correct spelling, they wouldn’t be intimidated because the teacher would just get the overall score anyway.
