ENGLISH GRAMMAR RULES AND EXERCISES
COURSE: FOUR
PREPARADO POR: PROF .AUGUSTO DE LA FUENTE
INTRODUCTION
To the student:
These exercises concentrate on the parts of speech and the rules of grammar, tools
needed to construct a sentence, the basic unit of communication.
The purpose of this course is to help you increase your understanding of, and your
skill in applying principles of language usage for oral and written communication.
It is my desire that the different exercises in this book help you improve your knowledge
of the English language.
Follow the instructions of your teacher, whom I am sure, will guide you to throughout
this school year in improving your understanding and communication skills of the
language being learned,
Cooperative learning.
Cooperating with others can help you learn and remember language better.
When you cooperate in a group, you explain the material to be learned to others and then listen
to their explanations. This will help understand better the exercise being done.
The assignments that best work as group activities are those that require different skills,
thinking and imagination which help you benefit from different points of view.
The objective of this course is to help you increase your knowledge of the English language
which I am sure will help you in increasing your communication skills. But to achieve this,
you must set goals and objectives for yourself as you work through the exercises.
Discuss them with a partner. Are your goals and objectives useful? Are they achievable?
Make revisions if necessary.
Best of luck throughout this school year and always keep in mind that:
“There’s nothing better than a good education.”
Augusto De La Fuente
English Instructor.

BE ( am are is ) como verbo auxiliar mas GOING TO más la forma sencilla del verbo

La palabra THAN introduce
MORE antes del grado positivo.

COMPLEMENT
SUJECT VERB INDIRECT DIRECT PLACE HOUR TIME
Mary had dinner at seven yesterday
John did his at school today
homework
Alberto read her son the story this morning
The dictated Mary the letter at nine yesterday
manager
