Lesson Plan in Music

Grade 9 2nd Quarter

Grade Level: 9 – SPA - Longfellow

Time frame: 1hr

I - Objectives: At the end of the discussion the students will be able to;

a. Describes Musical Elements of the given classical period pieces.


b. Appreciate the importance of classical period of music.
c. Create their own piece of art using the classical music.

II - Learning Task:

Subject Matter: Classical Period of Music


Reference: Music and Arts 9
Materials: Desktop, Cellphone.
Strategy: Collaborative Learning
III - Procedure:
A. Preparatory Activities:
1. Warm up Drill
- Prayer
- Checking of attendance
2. Motivation
Clapping activity with musical notes.
B. Developmental Activities:
a. Presentation
Play the phantom of the opera and answer guide questions.
b. Lesson proper
a. Activity:
Play a classical music and guess which movie or tv series they have heard the song.

Activity #2 – The Price is Right

Using the play money given, the students will bet on the right answers as shown on the board, the
more correct answers, the more they collect money and the more money they gather, the higher
the equivalent scores.

Activity #3 – Top 10 Hits

With the same grouping, each group will do the different basic skills of activity and use it
as dance routines and perform it in front of the class.
Criteria:

Total ------------------- 100
Assignment:
Research on the additional activities that helps enhance your lifestyle.
