    ISRO Innovation Challenge

    ISRO Virtual Visit - Idea Presentation Session


    “Opportunities are like sunrises; if you wait too long, you may miss them.”
    Here we have for you an amazing opportunity knocking at your door. ISRO is organizing a
    Virtual Industrial Visit for NIT, Hamirpur on 9th of April, 2021. In this event, we shall be
    having a session where the students will be asked to present their ideas on particular topics. So,
    activate your neurons, pull up your sleeves and don’t let this opportunity pass by. The final 3
    winners shall be awarded with mementos from ISRO.
    All those interested shall consolidate their ideas in a document of not more than 2 pages. They
    are also required to prepare a 3-minute (max.) presentation of their idea. We are expecting your
    innovative solutions, research proposals, and further suggestions regarding some of the latest
    technologies that can be employed in these particular topics for the enhancement and growth of
    the particular fields. Basically, all we want from you is to study one of these topics and further
    provide us an insight into innovative ideas that can be presented under it.

    Following are the topics for the same:


    1. Miniaturinsation of electronics for avionics.
    2. Green propellants for launch vehicle and satellites.
    3. Advanced construction methods for big projects.
    4. Compact Power management for small satellites.
    5. Nanomaterials for satellite applications.
    6. Communication setup for deep space missions.
    7. Application of quantum mechanics for space applications.
    8. Robotic space applications.
    9. AI/ ML applications for space data analytics for social problems.
    10. AR/VR applications for space sciences.
    11. Any other related to space science and technology.

    There will be screening at institute level firstly. The candidates selected will further present their
    idea to the ISRO team. The working procedure and deadlines for the institute level screening
    are as follows :
    Register with the topic name of your choice. 20th -22nd March
    Submission of documentation and presentation. 23rd March- 31st March
    Review of the ideas submitted by you. 1st April- 3rd April
    Final selection of students that will present their ideas. 5th April

    The details of the following steps are:


    1. While registering that is 1st step you only need to choose the topic you are interested in.
    2. In the 2nd step that is documentation, you are supposed to consolidate all the innovations
    and solutions regarding the chosen idea in the form of a document of not more than 2
    pages. Also, you need to prepare a presentation on the same topic of about 3 minutes.
    3. We shall be selecting few ideas on the basis of the document you will be submitting.
    4. The participants whose ideas have been selected shall present themselves in front of the
    college selection committee.
    5. Finally, the selected candidates will get a chance to voice their ideas in front of the ISRO
    team.

    **All of the documents submitted by you will be consolidated and presented to ISRO
    Chairman.

    You shall be judged on following basis:

     How big a problem your idea is solving or how creative your innovation is.
     Efficiency with which you present your idea.
     Practical feasibility of your innovation or solution in terms of cost-effectiveness, financial
    requirements, and resources consumption.
     Further prospects of your idea (Limitations and potential).
     Ability to accurately answer queries and questions.
     Quality of your written document in terms of completeness.
     Quality of your presentation.
