6" Semester students of ECE department should submit the following
information to the Mini-Project coordinators in respect of their mini-project
work on or before April 27, 2021. Students are hereby advised to note that this
is one of the steps in evaluation process for which 10 marks are awarded from
the total internal assessment marks of 100.

2. Brief description (Synopsis) of the project along with the title of the
project. Synopsis shall not exceed 2 pages.
Note: A Project group should consist of minimum of 2 members and
maximum of 4 members irrespective of the section.

Synopsis, preferably, should be of about 2-4 pages. The content should be as brief as
is sufficient enough to explain the objective and implementation of the project that the
candidate is going to take up. The write up must adhere to the guidelines and should
include the following (not necessarily in order as given below).
1. Title Page
2. Name/Title of the Project
3. Objective and scope of the project
4. Methodology (including a summary of the project)
5. Hardware & Software to be used
Title Page: This page should consist of the following (format is given in the last page):-
1. Names of the team members
2. USN
3. Contact No. and EMAIL id
4, Proposed Title
5. List of Three Guides of your interest from the department
Topic of the Project:
This should be explicitly mentioned at the beginning of the Synopsis. Since the
topic itself gives a peep into the project to be taken up, candidate is advised to be
prudent on naming the project. This being the overall impression on the future
work, the topic should corroborate the work.
Objective and Scope:
This should give a clear picture of the project. Objective should be clearly
specified. What the project ends up to and in-what way this is going to help the
end user has to be mentioned. fi &

Conclusion:
The write-up must end with the concluding Sef eny describing innovations
in the approach for implementing the Project, main achievements and also any
other important feature that makes the system stands out from the rest.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR SYNOPSIS
1. The synopsis shall'be computer typed (English- British, Font -Times Roman, Size-12
point) and printed on A4 size paper.
2. The Synopsis shall be typed on one side only with 1.5 space with a margin 3.5 em on the
left, 2.5 em on the top, and 1.25 cm on the right and at bottom.
3. In the synopsis, the title page [Refer sample sheet (inner cover)] should be given first. This
should be followed by index, notations/nomenclature.
4, The diagrams should be printed on a light/white background, Tabular matter should be
clearly arranged. 5. The caption for Figure must be given at the BOTTOM of the Fig.
6. The caption for the Table must be given at the TOP of the Table.
7. The Bibliography/References should be written in IEEE format.
CIE Procedure: The CIE marks shall be awarded by a committee consisting of
the Head of the concerned Department and two senior faculty members of the
Department, one of whom shall be the Guide. The CIE-marks awarded for the
Mini-project work, shall be based on the evaluation of project report, project
