Activity No. 17: Construction of Conceptual Framework for the Proposal

Topic: Topic 6: Research Framework Week No. 7
Course Code: ITEP 312 Term: 2nd
Course Title: Capstone Project 1 Academic Year: 2020-2021
Student Name Section

This activity will help you formulate your conceptual framework. This learning activity will
help attain the intended learning outcomes of this module.

Direction:
1. From the formulated research topic and research objectives, create your own
conceptual framework.
2. You may use the example below as guide in developing your conceptual framework.
3. Indicate your explanation and discussion about the conceptual framework.

EXAMPLE FOR BSCS

The main objective of this study is to make a robust prediction in finding out lexicons from
Twitter data that are related to anxieties and depressions. The neuro fuzzy method is a
considered a hybrid approach because it allows to filter irrelevant, redundant, and noisy features
to elevate prediction results (Das, Naik, & Behera, 2020). With the conclusions and
recommendations of varied authors, this study would also want to build a robust model having a
more accurate results, significantly tested among the other models, and must be explored with
linear and non-linear data analysis.
The proponent would like to develop a web application that can determine anxieties and
depression that can be salient in the early detection of such mental health issue and concerns.
The system shall embed a robust data driven prediction model extracted from Twitter data
lexicons using hybrid process of Neuro-fuzzy method.
This study specifically aims to:
1. extract to be applied from tweets and posts in order to build a training dataset for the
prediction model;
2. establish the significant variables through pre-processing in building training dataset for
the prediction model;
3. train, validate and test the data sets for accuracy and precision;

4. generate the prediction model based using hybrid process of Neuro-fuzzy method;
5. integrate the generated prediction model to the web application.

Research Objectives
The study aims to develop, test and evaluate the user acceptability of the automated emergency
response management system for the Municipality of Santa Cruz Laguna – MDRMMO that
would handle emergency response management including stable communication between
residents and responders, geolocation detection of the resident (emergency reporters), incident
monitoring, response support data management and report generation which has the potential to
help save lives, limit damage, and reduce the costs of dealing with emergencies.
Specifically, this study sought to find out the following:
1. to identify the current process of MDDRMO and the municipality of Santa Cruz in
handling emergency incidents;
2. to design and develop an automated emergency response management system for Santa
Cruz Laguna
a. incident reporting
b. incident monitoring
c. incident management;
3. to test the functionalities of the developed system based on the major features of the
developed system
a. communication between residents and responders
b. data management
c. report generation
4. to evaluate user acceptance and behavioral intention to use of the developed system
