Instructions:

 Kindly submit paper on LMS and keep your cameras on during examination.
 It is an open ended examination, and strict plagiarism rules apply.
 Submit your paper on LMS within 3 hours, any submission after 3 hours will not be
accepted.
 Weightage of this exam is 25%.

Question #01: (10 Marks)

Choose a list of your choice having any 7 roll no’s including your own roll no. if;

a. Your roll no is above half the strength of the class, then find the largest roll no in the list
and display.
b. Your roll no is below half the strength of the class, then find the smallest roll no in the
list and display.

Perform the following;

1. Write a brief algorithm to achieve the above mentioned task.


2. Also generate a flow that strictly follows the notations.

Question#02: (10 Marks)

Choose a scenario of your own choice and apply SDLC (Software Development Life
Cycle). Perform the following;

1. Requirement Analysis: Mention at-least 5 requirements.


2. Design: Generate the Flow chart.
3. Development: Write Algorithm for one requirement of your own choice.

Question #03: (10 Marks)


Explain operating system functions with the help of real world examples for each function. Also
justify each example.

Question #04: (10 Marks)

Choose file management system of your choice and highlight 5 major disadvantages of that
system. Further propose a database management system as a solution and show the interaction of
at least 5 entities. Give relevant rationale as well.

Question#05: (5+5 Marks)

a. Differentiate between Client server and peer-to-peer network architecture using a


real world scenario of your choice.
b. Also mention the network topology for the real world scenario along with the
rationale.
