Flyer Formatting Assignment

Directions:

Create a flyer for ONE of the four clients listed below. You will create ONE flyer based
on ONE of the four scenarios. You may pick who you want to create a flyer for. This flyer
needs to be created in Google Docs. Each scenario has a list of requirements for that
specific flyer. Include the specific requirements, and add other designs (pictures,
shapes, colors, variety of fonts/sizes) needed to make a flyer for one of the following
scenarios. *Full one page flyer

Considerations:

1. What is the purpose of the flyer?


2. What are the needs of your client?
3. Who is your audience?
4. What colors should you use and avoid?

Scenarios:
Scenario #1:

Luigi’s is a locally owned pizza company that is looking to hire a graphic design artist to
promote his 50th year anniversary celebration. The flyer must appeal to families
because this is a family restaurant. Most of his customers are young families.

Owner, Santiago Luigi, would like for the flyer to include:

● Business name
● A catchy slogan for this promotion
● Colors: red and green
● Promote signature Pepperoni Pizza
● Offer a 50% off discount to commemorate the years of service
● Business information (address, phone number, web address, etc.)

Scenario #2:

Joe Smith is starting his own lawn care business, Joe’s Cut and Care Lawn Service. He
is looking for a graphic design artist to promote his new business by creating a flyer.
This flyer should appeal to both genders and a range of ages. Joe really wants his flyer
to stand out from his competitors.

Competitor Flyer: Lawn Competitor


Owner, Joe Smith, would like for the flyer to include:

● Business name
● A catchy slogan for this promotion
● Colors: green and yellow
● Picture/graphic to reference lawn care
● Business information (address, phone number, web address, etc.)

Scenario #3:

Peacock’s car dealership is having their grand opening and needing a graphic design
artist to create a flyer. You must incorporate the dealership name, the colors teal and
blue, picture/graphic of a peacock, business address and phone number. This flyer
should appeal to both genders and a range of age appropriate drivers.

Owners, Jim and Jenny Peacock, would like for the flyer to include:

● Dealership name
● A catchy slogan for this promotion
● Colors Teal and Blue
● Picture/Graphic of a peacock
● Business information (address, phone number, web address, etc.)

Scenario #4:

Fashion Closet is a women’s clothing boutique that carries junior, misses, womens, and
womens plus size clothing. They are needing a graphic design artist to create a flyer to
promote their new fall and winter clothing line. This flyer should appeal to women of all
ages.

Owner, Maria Lopez, would like for the flyer to include:

● Business name
● A catchy slogan for this promotion
● Colors orange and yellow
● Picture/graphic of fall/winter clothing
● Business information (address, phone number, website, etc.)
