Steps To Do Simulation in Mentor Graphics

1) Open Mentor Graphics and create a new schematic design. Select library components like VDD, VSS, MOSFETs, and sources. 2) Design the circuit by connecting the selected components. Modify properties of the MOSFETs like length, width. 3) Select Eldo for simulation, set up DC and transient analysis, include the TSMC 180nm model library, select outputs to plot, and run the simulation.

Steps to do simulation in Mentor Graphics (Pyxis Schematic)

1) Commands to open Mentor

cd
csh
source /cad/mentor_tools1/cshrc/hep.cshrc
da_ic &
2) File  new  Schematic
Then write the name of design in your library.
After that following window will open.

3) Click on Library
Generic Library  VDD, VSS, Ground
Source LibraryFor DC, AC and Pulse sources etc.
Device Library MOSFET and other devices
4) Select 4-pin NMOS and 4-pin PMOS to make the circuit connections according to design.

5) Change properties of MOSFET NCH to N and PCH to P (By clicking Q or edit objects)
You can also modify the value of length (L) and width (W) according to the Circuit.
6) Connect sources (DC Sources) from Source Library

7) Connect Ground from Generic Library

8) After Completing the circuit. Click on Simulation. A new window will open (Entering
Simulation Mode) Select Eldo for Simulation.
Eldo Spice and Circuit Simulator
ADMS Analog and Mixed Signal Circuit Simulator
ADit Analog and Digital Turbo simulator for accurate and complex designs

9) Click OK. Then, a new window of simulation mode will POP-UP.

Click on Analysis. For DC and transient simulation, set accordingly.
10) Include TSMC 180 nm library by selecting Includes
PATH $ADK/technology/ic/models/tsmc18.mod

11) Forces
In Forces add Ground
12) Select Outputs terminals to plot and then click ADD
13) ParamsParametric Sweep (Select Which parameter you want to sweep)
14) Ok and Run
Then right click on View Waves Plot latest Waves
