1. Basics
In rare cases, you need to make mathematical tricks and either subtract or add any values from the prompts to the existing ones.

1.3 Adaptation

Almost everyone who independently climbed into the brains of a car using VAG-COM faced the problem of hidden bits, which are sometimes very necessary to activate any functions.
Features
Works on all versions of programs and is the simplest and most effective, because requires only an understanding of the difference between "0" and "1".
The
Byte method consists of 8 bits, in our case they are numbered from 0 to 7.
If we look at the Byte binary encoding window, we will see 8 characters each of which is "0" or "1". It is not difficult to guess 0 - off, 1 - on. You just need to remember that the values in binary
format are the inverse of decimal.
In other words, we count the bits in binary encoding from right to left from 0 to 7. It is easy to read a binary value if you represent it in bit numbers: 76543210.
And, as everyone probably already guessed, in order to activate the hidden bit, you just need to change the desired character into binary code from "0" to "1" and press "Tab" to save the value.
Example
If you want to include only 1, 3, 4 and 7 bits, then the binary value will look like this: 10011010.
If you only need to include 0 and 2 bits, then the binary value will look like this: 00000101.

18 Byte
For all those who have "00" in the 18th Byte 9 of the block, this does not mean that your encoding is exactly the same.
If you change this value to another and then return to "00", the return to the original state is not guaranteed.
For the engine control unit to be successfully encoded, the engine itself must be shut off.
Comfort unit
On the Octavia A5FL there is no comfort unit 46, its functions are performed by the 09 central electronics unit, which has a special feature.
If you drove the car before coding, then it does not respond to commands. To get an answer from block 9 - remove the key from the ignition and then turn on the ignition or start the engine,
then the block will communicate.
Also, the unit may not respond if the car is locked from the inside.
Shine
When changing the factory settings of external lights (item 3), be careful and restrained, otherwise you may end up with a Christmas tree that other road users will find it difficult to understand.
Also remember that overly bright lights can blind other drivers, which in turn can adversely affect road safety.
