Diverse Human Life Threatening Diseases Due to Smoking

The positive impact of smoking has not been found in an article or public opinion except profits for
producers and the vendors. That there was calls and calls from various parties to avoid such thing as
a cigarette. However, until today, despite many appeals and warnings about the dangers of smoking,
but still many people on this earth who smoke. 

In fact, everyone knows that the negative effects of smoking are many and varied for the health of
the human body. Such as tar, nicotine, substance, and chemical gases in cigarettes it is common
knowledge has the potential to germinate so many diseases. In the packaging alone is a warning. 

In today's market also encountered many cigarettes that claim their products contain less tar and
nicotine. But still the gases generated as a side effect of smoking a potential hazard for the smoker
(active) and for those around them (passive). 

According to research there are 10 types of cancer caused by smoking. Also mentioned also that
male smokers die 13.2 years younger than non-smokers, while female smokers die 14.5 years
younger. 

Smoking can cause cancer of the mouth, vocal cords and esophagus. Women smokers have a
possibility of 13 times higher lung cancer than nonsmokers. While male smokers 23 times higher
lung cancer than nonsmokers. 

Stomach and gastric cancer, kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer, when the fatal can cause diabetes
mellitus, diabetes, cervical cancer, blood cancer or leukemia. 

Smokers are 3 times higher risk of suffering from cataracts can cause blindness. Cigarettes can be a
major cause of stroke and brain damage. Smokers are 10 times higher risk of suffering from
periodontitis (gum burns that lead to infection) that can damage the delicate tissue of the bone. 

Other impacts may occur pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma, chronic cough, heart failure, heart attacks,
hypertension, and stroke.Infertility, premature babies, babies born underweight (LBW), and
respiratory disorders. 

To prevent the adverse effects of hazardous materials entering and tertimbunnya cigarettes into the
respiratory tract, smokers should consume sources of chlorophyll and antioxidants regularly. Not
forgetting of course the most appropriate advice is beginning to change, reduce, and eliminate the
poor living habits like smoking. 

In addition to smokers, in our beloved country, the number was very much second-hand
smoke. National socioeconomic survey in 2001 showed that 91.8 percent of the population admitted
to smoking at home when being with his family. As a result, 97.5 million people to easily suck
cigarette smoke at home. Of that amount, 43 million of whom are infants to children 14 years old. 
Smoking is an addiction that has plagued the behavior globally and is endemic in Indonesia. This
makes it a common problem that needs filling. 

Most families in Indonesia have a family member who has or is becoming active smokers. When
smoking becomes addictive behavior in one family member, then the other family members will be
badly affected by smoke, including the fetus is still in the womb.
