Instruction: Read and answer the questions below. Explain your answers based on your
understanding.

1. When does technology considered an effective tool in the teaching-learning process?

Used to support both teaching and learning, technology infuses classrooms with
digital learning tools, such as computers and hand held devices; expands course offerings,
experiences, and learning materials; supports learning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

2. Discuss two (2) benefits of integrating technology in education.

 Students can learn useful life skills through technology

By using technology in the classroom, both teachers and students can develop
skills essential for the 21st century. Students can gain the skills they will need to be
successful in the future. Modern learning is about collaborating with others, solving
complex problems, critical thinking, developing different forms of communication and
leadership skills, and improving motivation and productivity. What is more, technology
can help develop many practical skills, including creating presentations, learning to
differentiate reliable from unreliable sources on the Internet, maintaining proper online
etiquette, and writing emails. These are very important skills that can be developed in the
classroom.

 Benefits for teachers

With countless online resources, technology can help improve teaching. Teachers can use
different apps or trusted online resources to enhance the traditional ways of teaching and
to keep students more engaged. Virtual lesson plans, grading software and online
assessments can help teachers save a lot time. This valuable time can be used for working
with students who are struggling. What is more, having virtual learning environments in
schools enhances collaboration and knowledge sharing between teachers.

3. Are computer games helpful or harmful to students? Why?

Computer games never become helpful and harmful to students unless we know
how to limit the use. In my side, I can say that it is helpful because this is one of my
escapes when I’m having stress in my studying. In other hand, this computer games
become their occupation e.g is Alodia and Mrytle. It is in the people how they will going
to use properly the computer games. How this thing be done in right way.
4. How do you incorporate the use of productivity tools in your classes/lessons?

Luckily for us, numerous apps encourage student creativity while helping them
accomplish important class projects and assignments. Whether you teach music, art,
English, or math (or any other subject, for that matter), using a productivity tool that
allows your students to be creative is sure to increase engagement and support their
application of content.

5. Is the use of slide presentation during teaching really beneficial? Why or why not?

Slide presentation become a guide of students while a teacher is explaining. As a


future educator slide presentation have a big part of teaching processes as we explaining
the lesson and one way to convenience our students to listen. But slide presentation
doesn’t mean we always got their attention unless we put some pictures for example and
who is she/he (what he/she look like). Slide presentation save us in spending of money
unlike before that they are using a manila paper for their Instructional Materials and
spending too much to make it. Now that technology evolved really have a big part and
really benefits to everyone because of its light.
