For the dog’s happiness: Live, Love, Dog’s, an advocacy for the man’s best friend.
I. Introduction
The pandemic led people to unsureness and extreme wellbeing and economic
concerns. Past studies showed that owning an animal such as a dog or a cat, has
benefits for good psychological wellness improvement. Connections between animals
and humans may help with depression and anxiousness, especially for staying at
home for quite a while.
Through the ages, individuals have guaranteed dogs as one of their nearest, and best,
friends. Of the relative multitude of trained creatures, dogs serve the most extensive
exhibit of jobs: defender, assistant, lifeline, and friend. Dogs are mind blowing
companions to individuals, and they have been allies through hundreds of years. The
connection among dogs and individuals is profound and old. Indeed, the expression
"man's best friend" started in the American Supreme Court in 1870 when a skilled
legal advisor named George Graham Vest protected a man who profoundly cherished
his coon dog named Old Drum. Vest contended that when a neighbor murdered Old
Drum for intruding, the neighbor ended the existence of something beyond a pet but a
significant relative.
Not only human beings are affected by the pandemic but also the animals, especially
for those who does not have a home to stay. One example is the Shelter of Home
Bacoor, a profound animal shelter that caters all stray animals that are found in the
streets. The said shelter for animals who needs support in this time of pandemic will
be the main goal the advocacy.
With an end goal to teach the Filipino individuals on responsible pet ownership,
Yang’s Cooking draws in the publicizing media with the assistance of its enthusiastic
allies to come up with the Live, Love, Dog’s advocacy for the Shelter of Home
Bacoor.
II. Purpose
The main motive of the advocacy is to raise people’s awareness about the condition
of animals, and to encourage the community to support animals’ charity. The intent of
Republic Act No. 8485, also known as "THE ANIMAL Protection ACT OF 1998," is
to supervise and control the establishments and operations of all facilities used for
breeding, maintaining, housing, handling, or training of all animals, whether as
objects of trade or as household pets. The Project is worth it since it will educate
people about the proper treatment and care of animals. Providing for an animal's
physical and mental needs is essential to its health. Animal rights advocates agree that
nonhuman animals should be handled soft heartedly and without undue cruelty.
Pressure, anxiety, and desperation are felt by a rational animal capable of loving and
forming social relationships. And it needs to come to an end. Animal cruelty is a
problem all over the world, so this advocacy was done to help reduce this issue.
According to the PARC There are over 200 cats and dogs that have been through
cruelty, neglect, and pain. The country should normalize adopting a dog and try to
avoid buying, because it can help the Philippine Animal Rehabilitation Center more
by adopting. The team volunteered to do the advocacy because the team really wants
to protect the poor dogs on the street. Every cent that a person drops in the donation
box that the team placed in every table of the restaurant is very important.
The main goal of the advocacy is to educate the people about what are the current
state of animal shelters and dogs in the Philippines, and to help the chosen animal
shelter which is Shelter of Home Bacoor in different aspects, like food and budget.
The only objective the advocacy has is to come out successful with the advocacy the
team started and to be an inspiration to others out there as an advocacy that gave a lot
of help to animals and shelters.
Fundraising is the thought way to achieve the goal. Cans will be placed at each table
inside the food restaurant with the information regarding to stray dogs. The team will
add additional capital (70% of sales) for this project. This petition will be the bridge
to save the lives of some stray dogs. Moreover, the team will help bring those dogs
found on the road to be taken to dog or animal shelters.

To the society,
- It will inform and educate them to be aware about the needs of the dogs
To the dogs,
- It will help them to have enough food to eat and other necessities
- It will help them to have extensive medical treatment for ailments like a
broken leg and other severe illnesses they have.
- It will help them in buying appropriate and necessary things needed for the
welfare of the dogs
- It will help them to hire the best employees that may take good care of the
dogs and will nurse and nurture them. and.
To the business,
- It will help them to attract other investors because of its good deeds
Clearly, this advocacy will provide several benefits to both dogs and the business.
The dogs will have a better life in the shelter because they will receive all the
necessities that they needed and there is a big chance that someone will adopt them.
While the business will be known not only for its food but also for the advocacy that
they started. It will attract more customers and investors to help with the advocacy.
This advocacy will not only benefit one shelter, but also the other shelters and it will
inspire other people to start their own advocacy and help the precious homeless
animals. These outcomes were categorized with the intention of better understanding
and communicating how animals (dogs) advocacy movement works.
IV. Support
The proposed budget for the project is 80-100 thousand pesos, which includes the
dogs' food, supplements, and other needs of the dogs. The team would like to request
your financial assistance in creating this advocacy in the name of helping animals live
happier, since there might not be enough money to collect on each can and the
restaurant's sales. Any amount will do if it comes from the heart, and we will
gratefully accept it. Animal health and rights will only have one advocacy: to raise
awareness and enlightenment among the public that we should always treat animals
with respect. Hope people can join and support the advocacy.
