Development Impact Plan (Application-Stage) : Australia Awards - Pakistan For Study Commencing in 2022

This document outlines the Development Impact Plan (DIP) requirements for applicants to the Australia Awards – Pakistan program. The DIP must be submitted before the scholarship application deadline and will be assessed based on how well it links the proposed area of study to development plans in the applicant's home country. The DIP helps establish a link between professional needs, the intended course of study, and development priorities in the applicant's country. It requires applicants to identify sustainable development goals and skills they will work towards and develop, and how they will contribute these upon returning home, including potential tasks, constraints, and resource needs. The DIP will be updated throughout the scholarship cycle and used for reporting on the program's impact.

Australia Awards – Pakistan

Development Impact Plan (application-stage)

For study commencing in 2022
This Development Impact Plan (DIP) records how you plan to contribute to development when you
return from your studies in Australia. It is a mandatory document for Australia Awards – South Asia
and must be submitted in OASIS (oasis.dfat.gov.au) before the Scholarship application deadline.
The DIP is taken into account in the selection process. Your DIP will be assessed based on how
well it links the proposed area of study with the plan/task, how it addresses a development
need/priority in your country, and whether it is supported by your organisation/agency.
The purpose of the DIP is to help you establish a link between your professional requirements
(human resource gaps), the course of study in Australia and development priorities of your country.
The DIP seeks to articulate practical and realistic tasks showing how you plan to apply the skills
and knowledge gained from your studies in Australia. You will also need to demonstrate the
feasibility of the tasks you have identified by highlighting the possible constraints and the resources
that you may need in order to implement them.
The DIP will be updated at various points in the Scholarship cycle (at the Pre-Departure Briefing,
Return Home Workshop and Reintegration Workshop) and will be one of the bases for Australia
Awards Scholarship program reporting and analysis.
