I. COURSE DESCRIPTION (English 4 – Business Communication)


This course emphasizes the study and practice of all forms of communications in business. It includes all forms of business letters, the job interview,
negotiating and entertaining clients, telephony and texting, memoranda, formal and informal reports and other reports and other forms of business reports.

II. COURSE CREDIT


3 Units
54 hours (18 weeks)

III. COURSE GENERALOBJECTIVES:


1. Internalized the School’s Vision, Mission, General Goals and Specific Objectives, as well as Department’s Goals and Objectives
2. Communicate ideas clearly and effectively through written business communications
3. Determine the importance of business letters in the business world
4. Review a few of the major pitfalls in grammatical expression
5. Learn and apply the basic approaches of effective communication suited to business operations in Philippine setting
6. Prepare students not only to enter their business careers, but also, to advance in those careers through effective communication
7. Expose students to the different letterforms, styles and models
8. Write various forms of letters in correct form
