• The number of luminaires required for a


required illuminance level E (lux) is:

• Planning the luminaire layout


• Work out a regular layout of luminaires with an
acceptable uniformity
• Rounding the number found to a whole number
that will divide into a regular grid
• Check on the spacing to height ratio
