Seeing Sounds Worksheet: Tuning Fork Station

This document describes 6 experiments that demonstrate how sound is a form of energy caused by vibrations. In each experiment, students observe how objects vibrate or are affected at different volumes and pitches of sound. The experiments show that sound vibrations can be seen through their effects on water, light reflections, spatula blades, rubber bands, balloons, and paper. By making sound vibrations visible, the experiments help explain how engineers can design technologies that produce and transmit sound energy.
