MODULE 1 ASSIGNMENT

MODULE 1: INTRO TO ART FUNDAMENTALS

1. Module 1 Assignment 1 (M1A1): Comparative Drawing Assignment

Recommended Time Investment: 3-4 hours Recommended Frequency: Once-off

Module 1 is mostly theoretical and includes very important things to keep in mind, however as you
move into Module 2 and beyond, we start to get very practical. With that in mind, as you start your art
journey, this assignment requires you to:

Draw any character of your choice, utilising all your current knowledge.

At the end of the course, you will get this very same assignment, however it will require you to draw the
same character again, utilising all the learned theory from throughout the course.
Take this assignment seriously, it will be a yardstick to gauge your progress at the end.

Ensure that when you have completed your assignments and are submitting them to the Character
Art School Community, that you are clearly stating the assignment number, for example “M2A2”,
so that you are critiqued and given feedback correctly at your current level of knowledge.
