Name of the tool Prezi

Where to access this https://prezi.com/

tool (web address)
Brief instructions of Both students and teachers need to make an account and this tool is
how to use the tool not for everyone as it can be confusing at first. However, if the
teacher takes the time to explain it, this tool can really be helpful for
spatial learners or people who like to map out their thinking. This
tool allows for students to be able to express their thinking better
than something like PowerPoint because it is not linear.

Ideas for how the tool ● Elementary school

can be used in PK-12 ○ A teacher can use this to present to the class and it
can be more engaging for students at this age and it is
more visually dense compared to other presentation
software. In 4/5th grade students maybe able to make
their own presentations with this tool allowing the
teacher to give more options to an often restricted
grade
● Middle School
○ I would personally use this tool as an option for
students to use to present on a book they read or
instead of a paper I could ask for this. Due to how
prezi’s are shared through links students at this age
are not going to have to deal with carrying around a
usb to school
● High School
○ This tool could be used for group presentations and
collaborative work. Or now that the age is higher a
teacher can send a link to the students for the prezi
using one of the aforementioned tools and students
can all collaboratively add to the prezi for an
assignment

Positives and ● Positive

challenges of using ○ Prezi provides countless free to use templates for
the tool
students who may struggle with the open concept of
prezi
○ It is easy to share through links and all Prezi’s are
saved on the website no usb required
○ Supports spatial learners who have issues with how
restrict other software can be
● Negatives
○ Requires internet unless downloaded
○ Will try to sell its premium version
○ Prezi ‘s are not private on a free account
