Valedictorian – Brady C. Hall, son of Jolie and Don Snider of Harrisville, NY and
Jeff and Genny Hall of Gouverneur, NY has earned the highest academic award of
Valedictorian, for the class of 2021. Brady plans to attend Clarkson University in

U.S. History, Pre-calculus and English Composition and credits through Hudson
Brady has been active in many school groups. He has played basketball and soccer
all four years of high school. He played lacrosse one year and played baseball for
one year. In addition to school sports, Brady has been a member of the Harrisville
Youth Trap League for the past four years. His favorite extracurricular activity
has been being a member of the Harrisville Pirates Soccer team. He says that he
just really enjoyed being able to play the sport with his friends and working
Society and a current member of National Honor Society. He has also been a
member of the Student Representatives Assembly for four years and a member of
the Youth Advisory Council for three years. Brady has spent summers at Harrisville
Brady’s most meaningful activities are his community service projects. He has
helped in multiple American Red Cross Blood Drives and works with the HCS
Harris Courts. He also has volunteered with the Lewis County Sheriff’s
Department aiding them with their Shop with a Cop and Safe Child programs.
Brady’s advice for students of HCS: Make the most out of the opportunities you
are given.
Salutatorian – Amy J. Manchester, daughter of Jackie Gibson of Evans Mills, NY
and Tom Manchester of Harrisville, NY has earned the second academic award of
Salutatorian, for the class of 2021. Amy plans to study liberal arts in college and
Amy’s academic grade point average for seven semesters is 93.0 and she will
will earn advanced placement credits in United States History, Calculus AB and
English Literature. She will receive dual enrollment credits through North Country
Amy has been active in many school groups and sports. She is a former member of
the National Junior Honor Society and currently a member of the National Honor
Society. She has been a member of the Student Representative Assembly (SRA)
for four years and a member of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) for four years.
This year, she is a member of the Lewis County Youth Bureau. Amy has taken on
many leadership roles in acting as president of the NHS, SRA, and the Class of
2021. Amy has also played basketball for three years and softball for four years.
Amy’s favorite activity has been acting as class president for the past four years.
She says that the role has been challenging but she feels she has done a good job.
Her most meaningful activity has been YAC because it makes her feel good knowing
that she is helping her community. Volunteer activities include American Red Cross

Amy would like to tell the students of HCS to work hard and do your best to stay
motivated.
Top Vocational Award – Talon W. LaParr, son of Terry and Lynn LaParr,
Harrisville, NY, has earned the Highest Vocational Award for a senior with two
years in a vocational program for the class of 2021. Talon has an overall GPA of
90.0 and will receive a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation. Talon has
participated in the high school band and has volunteered in roadside clean-up
Technology Management.
Talon’s honors include: Honor and High Honor Roll at Harrisville Central School and
Center in Fowler, NY. Through SWT, he has participated in work experiences for
local businesses and entities. He has worked at the Emerald Greens Golf Course
constructing cart paths, walking paths and tee boxes. He has also worked at
Riverside Cemetery and Gouverneur Country Club with tree and brush removal and
stump grinding.
