Fill the spaces with an appropriate word to make sentences.

1. A dog can run. It cannot fly.

2. A fish can swim. It cannot run.

3. A blind person cannot see. They can hear.

4. An adult can drive a car, but a child cannot.

5. An elephant can walk, but a worm cannot.

6. A rock cannot float on water, but a boat can.

7. You can buy a book at a book store, but you can’t buy one at a hospital.

8. A chef can cook, but a baby cannot.

9. Millionaires can buy Lamborghini, but I cannot.

10. A dog can swim, but a camel can’t.

A) Answer the questions below with CAN or CAN’T (or both).

1. What languages can you speak? I can speak Spanish, but I cannot French.

2. Can you play the piano? No, I cannot.

3. Can your parents run a marathon? No, They cannot.

4. Where can you buy a bottle of wine? I can buy in the liquor store.

5. Can you swim? No, I cannot.

6. When can you wear a costume? I can wear a costume in the dental office .

Create questions using the words below using CAN then answer them.

1. Camera - Can you buy a camera for Christmas for your sister? Yes, I can.

2. Elephant - Can They search a stuffed elephant? Yes, They can.

3. Dinner - Can We go to dinner before ten o’clock? No, We cannot.

4. Airplane - When can you travel on the airplane? I can travel on the airplane in two weeks.

5. Truck - Where can they sell the old truck? I don’t know where they can sell the truck.

6. Trumpet - Where can I buy a trumpet? You can buy a trumpet in the music store.
