Introduction
secBo 8088 series is a state-of-the-art wireless alarm system for home and office security. It is user friendly and you
can install the system and monitor your home / office all by yourself. When alarm is triggered, the system can call to
your preset phone numbers (for SB-LL8088 and SB-GL8088) or send SMS to alert (for SB-GL8088) and you can
control the system operations in a remote distance.

Zone Definition
Zone Types and Definitions
• Perimeter zone (Outer zone defense): Detecting the space like doors, windows, etc., generally use wireless
door magnet sensors and wireless curtain PIR sensors.
• Motion zone (Inner Zone defense): Detecting the space like living room, aisles and bedrooms, room doors etc.,
generally use wireless wide-angle PIR sensors and door sensors.
• Emergency zone: Detecting the space like Emergency area (such as emergency distress, medical rescue, gas
leakage, smoke and fire alarm, etc., this zone keep 24-hour monitoring status automatically. Generally use panic
button, wireless gas sensors and wireless smoke sensors.
Modes of Arming
• “Away Arm” mode: Once any detectors in perimeter zones or motion zones get triggered, the host will set off
the alarm immediately and dial your preset numbers automatically.
• “In Home Arm” mode: Once any detectors in perimeter zones get triggered, the host will alarm immediately and
meantime dial dial your preset numbers automatically. It will not alarm after any detectors in the motion zone are
triggered.

System Setup
The detailed menus in the SET button are shown below:
【Set time】:
This is for setting the host time.【ENT + press button a few times to delete the old record, then press
HHMMSS + ENT】→ HHMMSS: 6 digits, meaning hour (HH), minute (MM), second (SS), each takes 2 digits
space. For example 14:21:20, you may press 142120, now the host time will be 14:21:20. For invalid time, it
cannot be saved by pressing ENT.
【Set date】:
This is for setting the host date.【 ENT + press button to delete the old record , then press
YYMMDDW + ENT】→ YYMMDDW: 7 digits, meaning year (YY), month (MM), day (DD), week (W). For
example 2010/12/17 Thursday, you may press 1012174, now the host date will be 2010/12/17 Thursday. “0”
means Sunday.
【Auto Dialer#’s】(SB-LL8088):
This is for presetting Call Center and Reporting telephone numbers.
• In total 5 telephone/mobile numbers.
• Press ▲ or ▼ button to select the report method:
“Call Center” for connection to a call center, “Personal Nbr” to a personal number.

• Press button to delete any old record, input the phone number you wish the system will dial to.
• Press ENT to confirm each phone (telephone/mobile) number. Repeat process for 2nd phone number, 3rd phone
number etc.
【Auto Dialer#’s】(SB-GL8088):
This is for presetting Reporting telephone numbers or Reporting SMS (SB-GL8088)
• In total 5 telephone/mobile numbers.
• Press ▲ or ▼ button to select the report method:
“Personal Nbr” to a personal number,
• Press button to delete any old record, input the phone number, press ENT
“SMS Phone No.” for voice alarming, “SMS Reporting” for SMS alarming. If you choose “SMS Reporting”, it will
just send to mobile numbers not include home phone numbers.
• Press ENT to confirm each phone (telephone/mobile) number. Repeat process for 2nd phone number, 3rd phone
number etc.
【Entry delay】:
This is for setting delay time of alarm to allow you to disarm the system in a limit amount of time.
【ENT + press button to delete old record + XX + ENT】→ XX: 2 digits, you can set 00~59 seconds, the
default value is “00”. This setting can only work when the relevant zone is enabled in 【Zone
Attribute】: with entry delay set (See page 13 for details).

【Exit delay】:
This is for setting delay time of arming.
【ENT + press button to delete old record + XX + ENT】 → XX: 2 digits, you can set 00~59 seconds, the
default value is “15”.
【Siren On/Off】:
The system has 3 zones (Perimeter Zone, Motion Zone and Emergency Zone) for your options to enable or disable
the siren when sensors are triggered. Operations are as below:
【ENT + Siren On/Off, press ▲ or ▼ button to choose ON or OFF + ENT】.
If ON is chosen, the siren will alarm when sensors are triggered. You need to setup the alarming duration time
(minutes) in the next sub-menus. Please do as following:
【press button to delete old record + XX + ENT】→ XX: 2 digits, you can set 00~60 minutes, the defaults are
“01” (1 minute) for emergency zone, “01” (1 minute) perimeter zone and “02” (2 minutes) for motion zone.
If OFF is chosen, the siren will NOT alarm when sensors are triggered. You then need to setup the alarming
duration time (minutes) to “00” to complete the setup.
【Arm/Disarm Beep】:
【ENT + ▲ or ▼ button + ENT】→ ▲ or ▼ button choose “YES” or “NO” for having a “bi” sound when arm or
disarm the alarm host. The defaulted is “YES”.
【User code】:
Only use for linking network.【ENT + press button to delete old record + XXXX + ENT】→ XXXX: 4 digits,
you can set 0000~9999. Default user code 0001.

【Upload Status?】:
This is for uploading Arm / Disarm / Alarm / power cut information to the 1st personal number you installed in auto
dialer number section.【ENT + ▲ or ▼ button + ENT】→ ▲ or ▼ button choose “YES” or “NO” for upload or not
upload the status. Default value is “NO”.
【Zone Attribute】:
This is for setting【Zone number】,【Zone type】,【Bypass Zone】, and【Attribute Set】.
【Zone number】:
The system has 39 zones for your settings. 29 wireless zones (each zone supports up to 4 sensors), 8 wired
zones (optional) and 2 dedicated zones for remotes (supports up to 4 remotes or wireless keypads per zone).
Each zone needs to setup “Zone Type”, “Bypass Zone”, and “Entry Delay”.
【Zone type】:
You can see “2”, “1”, “0”. (“2” = motion zone, “1” = perimeter zone, “0” = emergency zone)
Press ▲ or ▼ button to allocate the type of zone for a particular zone number, then press ENT to confirm your
settings.
【Bypass Zone】:
This setting is to enable or disable setting zones. “YES” means bypassing (disable) the sensor, “NO” means
keep this zone’s sensors working. Press ▲ or ▼ button to choose “YES” or “NO”, then press ENT to confirm
your settings.

【Entry delay Set】:
This is for enabling the zone entry delay settings. “YES” means make this setting valid, “NO” means there is no
entry delay for this zone. Press ▲ or ▼ button to choose “YES” or “NO”, press ENT to confirm your settings.
Note:Press ESC to exit from the programming status after finish settings. The system will return back to
idle after 30 seconds.

【Program Sensor】:
This setting is for adding or deleting sensors in the above mentioned zones (including zone 00, 01). The detailed
operations are as below:
In “Program Sensor” menu, press ENT to choose “Zone Number” from different “Zone Types” (00~01, 02~10,
11~20, 21~30, 31~38). E.g. if you want to learn a smoke alarm (belongs to Emergency Zone) to the alarm host, you
have to choose the “Zone Number” from 02~10 (Emergency Zone). If there are old records, press button to
delete, input new number using the keypad, press ENT to get into the “Group Number” setting mode.

This “Group Number” is for sensors’ numbers, each zone can connect 4 sensors. The “Group Number” is from 00 to
03. “00” means Sensor 1, “01” means Sensor 2, “02” means Sensor 3, “03” means Sensor 4. Press ENT to get into
“Activate Sensor/ Delete Sensor” mode, press ▲ or ▼ button to choose Activate Sensor / Delete Sensor settings.
If “Activate Sensor” is chosen
To add a sensor to the host, choose “Activate Sensor”. The word “Learning” will show on the LCD Screen,
trigger the sensor you want to learn by the host, the word “success” will show on the LCD Screen once it
receives the sensor signal.
Note: If a word “update?” shows on the screen, which means this sensor has already been added
before, you can choose “Yes” or “No” to decide if you want to override the previous setting for this
sensor.

【Alarm History】:
This is for checking the alarm history records. The system is able to memorize up to 100 records with Alarm Status
and time & date.
Operations: Go to the “Alarm History” menu, press ENT to check the first “00” alarm history record, press ▼ button
to view next history records. Press ESC to exit.
【Status History】:
This is for checking the ARMED or DISARMED time record of the system. The system is able to memorize up to 100
records with time & date.
Operations: Go to the Status History menu, press ENT to check the first “00” status history, press ▼ button to view
next status history records. Press ESC to exit.
NC – Normally closed type sensor connection (with self power and without self power)

Operating the Alarm Host
Record: Slide the switch on the host panel side to “RECORD ON”,press and hold the button and speak close to
the speaker of the host, and then release, the voice recorded.
Play: Slide the switch on the host panel side to“DC, press and hold the button and you will hear the previous
record.
Arm: By wireless remote: press the arm button and the host will beep once and enter the “armed away” mode.
By Host panel (Keypad):【0 + password + ENT + ▲ or ▼ + ENT】 → ▲ or ▼ button to choose “armed
home” or “armed away”
Disarm: By wireless remote: press the disarm button and the host will beep twice to exit from “armed away” mode.
By Host panel (Keypad):【ESC + password + ENT 】 → the host will beep twice to successfully complete
the operation
Emergency: By wireless remote: press the Emergency key and the host will alarm immediately.
By Host panel (Keypad): press the button,and the host will alarm immediately.
Telephone alarm: After receiving the call, you will hear the recorded voice message immediately, it can be played for
30 seconds repeatedly, then follow the below instruction:
- Input “8” to enter into the listening status for 20 seconds, you can hear the alarm background
sounds from phone.
- Input ”#” to play the recorded voice message for one time.
- Input “*”, the host will end the call and stop dialing any auto dialer #.
- Directly hang off the telephone, the host will end the call and automatically dial the next auto dialer #.
SMS reporting (SB-GL8088): Mobile will get SMS like “System Alarming XX, YYYY”, “XX” means zone number,
“YYYY” means the detailed sensor.

Arm remotely by phone: 30 seconds after successfully dial the phone number of the host, enter the password of the
host after the beep, then enter 1 after beep, the host will automatically hang up after beep to complete the
operation.
Notes: You can set “Armed Away” remotely by phone, but note that you can’t set “Armed Home” by this way.
Disarm remotely by phone: 30 seconds after successfully dial the phone number of the host, enter the password of
the host after the beep, then enter 0 after beep, the host will automatically hang up after beep to complete the
operation.
Arm by SMS (SB-GL8088): You can send the SMS message “XXXXXXBF” from your mobile phone to the host
panel. XXXXXX is your password. The host panel would arm automatically when getting this SMS, and also will
message back to mobile “Arm successfully”.
Note: Arm by SMS only has “Armed away” option!
Disarm by SMS (SB-GL8088): You can send the SMS message “XXXXXXCF” to host panel. XXXXXX is your
password. The host panel would disarm automatically when getting this SMS, and also will message back to mobile
“Disarm successfully”.
Look up alarm history: Press ▲ or ▼ button to find the “Alarm history”, and then press ENT to look up the previous
alarm history, at most 100 pieces of history are available can be saved.
Look up status history: Press ▲ or ▼ button to find the “Status history”, and then press ENT to look up the previous
alarm history, at most 100 pieces of history are available can be saved.
Alarming dialing mode: After the host goes off, it starts to repeatedly dial the auto dialer#’s for three times one by
one from the first one. The answered number will not be dialed again.
Power disconnection: If power got disconnected, the host panel will sound “di” every 8 seconds.

• If any door or window is opened, it will transmit the alarm signals to the alarm host.

Wireless Wide-Angle PIR Sensor (SB-80)
Features
• Mainly monitor and control indoor space, generally set as Motion zone.
• When human body enters into detecting area, the sensor will transmit alarm signals to the alarm host.
Specifications
• Operating power: 9V 6F22 battery
• Emitting distance: ≥100m (in open area)
• Service life: ≤1 year
• Detecting distance: 110° 10×10m

Installation and Usage
• Fix the bracket on suitable wall surface or in wall corner at a distance of 2~2.4m above the ground.
• Open the sensor shell to connect the batteries well and adjust jumper line (short circuit “5S”: The sensor will
detect once every 5 seconds; short circuit “5MIN”: The sensor will detect once every 5 minutes).
Suggestion: short circuit “5S” for testing and “5MIN” for normal use;
• Fix the sensor onto the bracket.
• Adjust the sensor to a proper angle and then slide the power switch on the side to “ON”, and it will enter into the
normal working state after 30 seconds.
• Upon the working light flashes frequently in green, please replace the batteries.

Notes:
• You can only add 1 wireless wide-angle PIR sensor each time, totally 4 available to be added.

• Mainly monitor and control indoor fire risks, generally set as Emergency Zone.
• Replace the batteries for every 1 or 2 year.

Code type and function:
Code type: fixed code, master code, user code
Fixed code:999999, 6 digits, use to modify master code or user code, this code cannot be changed.
Master code:default 888888, 6 digits, use to control set time / date / wireless code
User code:default 888888, 6 digits, can control arming / disarming
How to set
• LCD screen will exit programming mode if without any operations within 30 seconds.
• It will be back to the last menu if press ESC menu.

• If three time putting wrong program code, the host will resume to the very original status.
• If input the codes 3 times by mistake, the host will be back to the standby mode automatically.
The detailed【Programs】is as below:
Press SET button getting into the programming mode, Enter Master Code (6 digits), the default master code is
“888888”, press ENT, you may see the below menus:
【Set Time】:
【ENT + press to clear old record + XXXXXX + ENT】→ XXXXXX: 6 digits, means “hour/minute/second”,
each takes two digits space.
【Set Date】:
【ENT + press to clear old record + XXXXXXX + ENT】→ XXXXXXX: 7 digits, means
“year/month/date/week”, first three setting take 2 digits space for each, and 1 digits space for week.
【Wireless Code】:
【ENT + XXXXXXXX + ENT】→ XXXXXXXX: 8 digits, named from “A0-A7”, can choose between ”2”, ”1”, “0”.
“2”means low level, “1” means high level, “0” means empty. This is only used for manual setup of the keypad code
that is used to match with the main alarm system unit, by default this is already chosen automatically.
Note: You can press ESC to exit programming mode when you finish the above operations.

Set user's code
【SET + 999999 + ENT + press ▲ or ▼ + ENT + enter old 6 digits user code + ENT + enter new 6 digits user
code + ENT + re-enter new 6 digits user code + ENT】→ press SET then enter 999999, press ENT then
press ▲ or ▼ to choose “User Code” then press ENT, 6 digits new user code, and then press ENT, then re-enter
the 6 digits new user code again, then press ENT (Factory default set is 888888).
Note: User code and master code can't be the same as the fixed code of 999999.
Operations
Arming
• Operated by code:【press 0 + enter 6 digits user code + ENT + press ▲ or ▼ + ENT】, press ▲ or ▼ to
