Essay Writing Competition 2021 On DR B R Ambedkar: The Maker of Modern India

The NSS Units of Govt. P. G. College Rajouri are organizing an essay writing competition on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's contributions as the maker of modern India. The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of the college. Entries can be submitted in English, Hindi, or Urdu by April 12th on topics related to Ambedkar's philosophy, political views, role in women's empowerment, message to youth, and role in drafting the Indian constitution. The top three entries will receive merit certificates and all participants will get a certificate of participation.

Dr B R Ambedkar: The Maker of Modern India


NSS Units, Govt. P. G. College Rajouri, on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, going to organize
an Essay Writing Competition on the theme “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar: The Maker of Modern India”. The competition
aims at giving an opportunity to the youth to come across various aspects of the philosophy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
and focused on generating new ideas especially from young mind and see how they perceive Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s
contribution to modern India.

Theme of Essay Competition :


‘Dr. B. R. Ambedkar: The Maker of Modern India’

Sub-Themes:
 The Philosophy of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar
 B.R. Ambedkar and His Political Philosophy
 B.R. Ambedkar and His Social Philosophy
 B.R. Ambedkar and Women Empowerment
 B.R. Ambedkar’s Message to Indian Youth
 B.R. Ambedkar and Indian Constitution
Eligibility:
All the students pursuing Undergraduate or Post Graduate courses from Govt. P. G. College Rajouri.

Award:
Certificates of merit will be provided to top 3 entries and a certificate of participation also be provided to all the
participants.
Submission Guidelines:
The essays submitted by the participants can be in ‘English, Hindi or Urdu’ language before 12 th April 2021.
Valedictory function will be held on the same day at NSS office.

Word Limit:
Maximum words including 2000

Criteria of Evaluation:
The criteria to be applied in evaluating the entries are:

 Originality of the content


 Creativity and Rationality
 Style and Presentation of content
 Clarity and proper citations
Registration and Submission:
There is no registration fee for this essay competition. Participants should submit their essay at NSS Whatsapp
group of boys and girls respectively.
