LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 6

(Q3 MODULE 1 LESSON 1)

I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
1. Make a stand on an informed opinion (EN6OL – IIIb-1.28; EN6OL- IIIc-1.28)
2. Show tactfulness when communicating with others (EN6A-Ia-17)

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


A. Skill: Making a Stand on an Informed Opinion
B. Reference: Self Learning Module English Quarter 3 Module 1 Lesson 1
Present a Coherent, Comprehensive Report on Differing Viewpoints on an Issue
(Objective 7- used appropriate teaching and learning resources such as SLM for English 6)
C. Materials: Laptop, PowerPoint Presentation, Bluetooth Speaker, Worksheets/Graphic Organizers

III. Instructional Procedure


A. Preliminary Activities
1. Warm-up
Singing an opening song entitled “Rise and Shine” (Objective 1 Integration in Music)

2. Review – What is fact? What is opinion? (Objective 2 – reflected in power point presentation)
Answer “What’s In” from SLM

B. Developmental Activities

1. Motivation
Playing a guessing game “What Am I?”
The game will be played through “Minute to Win It”

2. Presentation
Today, our learning journey will focus making a stand on an informed opinion.

Do you have a pet at home? How do you take care of your pets?
Why do people keep pet animals at home? (Objective 3– develop higher-order thinking skills)
Most of the children today, like you, enjoy having a pet.
Let’s read this excerpt to know more about it.
