Task 3
During the quarantine, I was always worried about what may happen each day a number of positive cases are reported on the
news. I am terrified of possibly contracting the virus as well. In order to keep myself healthy, I washed and sanitized my hands
regularly. I ate fruits and vegetables as part of my daily diet, and drank lots of glasses of water to keep my hydrated. I stayed at
home just as what the government has mandated us to do so that we could prevent the spread of the virus. I shared with the
household tasks to be productive even while at home.

What’s More
Before the COVID-19, I have a lot of happy and memorable memories with my loved ones. Well, my life is easy way back then
because I can easily talk to my friends and went to there house without using face mask. In school, I can always reach my classmates
to ask questions. But today, the worst moment that I have ever experienced before. It affects every lives. Unlike before, it’s so hard
to communicate with my friends and classmates because they were also busy with their modules.

What’s New
I had felt scared and excited when I used a face mask. At that time, I had realized how important it was to wear a mask during
this pandemic. People had been going out to buy their essentials while following the health protocols. The moment that I had gone
outside, I immediately prayed for the safety of the people and for this pandemic to end.

What is It
1. President Rodrigo Roa- Duterte formed the Inter-Agency Task Force (AITF) because he had wanted to protect us.
2. Scientists failed to develop a vaccine and had to study more about the characteristic of the virus.
3. Most Filipinos observed the “The New normal” because it had mandated by the government.
4. DepED Secretary Leonor Briones announced the opening of classes on August 24, 2020 but it had not implemented since there
was a growing number of infected COVID-19 patients.
5. Christopher de Leon recovered from COVID-19 and had started to continue his acting career.
6. Fronliners was the term used for medical personnel and local government workers because they had led the fight against the
virus.
7. Social distancing was enforced but many had infected by the virus.
8. People wore masks because they had wanted to protect theirselves.
9. Medical experts instructed everybody to observe a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables because these had given us the
nutrients that we need to fight the virus.
10. The social media became an alternative source for COVID-19 updates because people had to stay with their homes.

What I Have Learned


The past perfect tense expresses an action completed in the past before another action happened. Formed by using had + past
participle form of the verb. Use had + past participle for a positive sentence and had not/hadn't + past participle for a negative
sentence.

What I Can Do
The problems had encountered during the distribution of food packs ro residents of South Cotabato was the incorrect or not
effective style of giving it, especially on those area which are full of families. The families had encountered starvation because they
only depend on the food packs since they cannot went outside and work to earn and buy foods for their families. They had a passive
distribution of food packs.

The local governvement had solved this problem by coordinating with the barangay ooficials. The barangay had listed names
that are recipient of the food packs, especially those family who cannot afford to buy foods during the pandemic. And the barangay
had led the distribution of food packs in their respective citizens.
