3. THE COMPETITION WILL BE DONE VIRTUALLY VIA GOOGLE MEET.
4. CONTESTANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST 4 PIECES OF
PAPER WITH LETTERS A, B, C AND D.
5. THERE WILL BE 4 CATEGORIES, NAMELY; EASY, AVERAGE,

3. THE PARTICIPANTS SHOULD SUBMIT AN ESSAY WHICH REVOLVES
ABOUT TLE AND THE THEME.
4. THE ESSAY SHOULD BE IN ENGLISH, WITH MINIMUM WORDS OF
1000 AND MAXIMUM OF 1500 WORDS ONLY.
5. THE ESSAY SHOULD BE ENCODED IN MICROSOFT WORD AND SEND
IT TO THE IN-CHARGE COMMITTEE. FOLLOW THE FORMAT:

3. THE CONTESTANTS ARE REQUIRED TO UPLOAD A RECORDED
VIDEO ON OR BEFORE MARCH 28, 2021. THE VIDEO SHOULD BE
UPLOADED IN FACEBOOK AND TAG THE FACEBOOK ACCOUNT OF
THE SCHOOL, SAN CARLOS PREPARATORY. THE VIDEO SHOULD
INCLUDE INTRODUCTION AND THE PROJECTION OF THE COSTUME.
THE VIDEO SHOULD ONLY BE 2 MINUTES AS THE MINIMUM AND A
MAXIMUM OF 3 MINUTES.

DESCRIPTION: TIE-DYE IS A PROCESS OF RESIST DYEING TEXTILES OR CLOTHING WHICH IS
MADE FROM KNIT OR WOVEN FABRIC, USUALLY COTTON; TYPICALLY USING BRIGHT COLORS.

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS

1. THE COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ALL BON A FIDE GRADE 4 TO


GRADE 6 STUDENTS OF SCPS.
2. THE CONTESTANT IS REQUIRED TO TIE DYE 2 SHIRTS. ONE TIE
DYED SHIRT SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE CHAIRMAN/ADVISER
ON MARCH 25, 2021. THE SECOND SHIRT SHOULD BE DONE
VIRTUALLY VIA GOOGLE MEET ON MARCH 29, 2021 IN THE
AFTERNOON FOR VERIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION THAT THE
CONTESTANT IS THE ONE WHO MADE THE TIE-DYED SHIRT
SUBMITTED IN SCHOOL.
3. ONE (1) HOUR IS THE TIME ALLOTMENT TO FINISH THE PRODUCT.

MECHANICS

A. The bake-off is open to all Senior High School Students. The students are divided
by 4 groups according to their class section:
Group 1 – Grade 11-Thomson
Group 2 – Grade 11-Dalton
Group 3 – Grade 12-Pasteur
Group 4 – Grade 12-Leeuwenhoek
B. The participants must read and study the recipe on How to Bake Butter Cake on
page 179 of their module in Bread and Pastry Production.
C. They are allowed to make their own recipe or make a twist to the original recipe.
D. They need to record or take a video of the whole process of their baking session.
E. The video should be formal – which includes wearing of PPE’s, proper
introduction and presentation, and does not contain any UNNECESSARY actions
or contents.
F. The video could be raw or edited and must not exceed in 20 minutes.
G. The video should be post online ON or BEFORE MARCH 29, 2021 (UNTIL
3PM) and must tag the Facebook account of school (San Carlos Preparatory).
Late posting is considered disqualified.
H. AND LAST, A SAMPLE PRODUCT MUST BE GIVEN TO THE TEACHER/S IN-
CHARGE UPON POSTING OF VIDEO FOR TASTE TEST AND SCORING.

MECHANICS & GUIDELINES


To prepare and present the following: Before the competition proper on (a scheduled
date and time):
1. Participants will provide all bar tools, equipment, bar materials, supplies,
glassware and ingredients except for ice, ice container and ice scooper.

On the competition proper:


2. Each participant has to prepare his or her new cocktail entry.

3. All participants should provide for their own liquors, spirits, mixes, garnishes,
utensils and glassware, as well as blenders if necessary.

4. The cocktail drink may be shaken, stirred, shaken or blended (electric blender).
The contestant may be allowed to use two (2) blenders .

5.They need to record or take a video of the whole process of making their cocktails.
