Bubble Function and Tools
The Insert tool has two functions. Via the submenu of Bubbles, it lets you upload media to be used
in your presentation and it lets you add shapes to enhance your presentation. When you click the
Insert bubble, there a three functions/tools (submenu bubbles) that should be visible as shown the
illustration on the right. The submenu bubbles offer the following two choices:
File bubble: Allows you to upload images, videos, and pdf files.
YouTube bubble: Allows you to directly embed a YouTube
video on the canvas by copying & pasting the URI link of the
video.
Shapes bubble: Offers three line tools to enhance your presentation
Image bubble: acts the same as the file menu with an option to search
for images using Google’s image search engine.
Drawing bubble: opens a dialog-box housing various drawing
templates that you can select from e.g. organizational chart, cycle, table, etc.
The File bubble is your gateway to uploading an exciting collection of objects for your
presentation. You can upload the following types of media:
Text with a different font and color: Create text using a graphics program and upload
it to Prezi.
Any image in a Vector, JPG, PNG, or GIF format: The maximum size for an uploaded
image is 2880 x 2880.
Video: File formats in FlashFLV, F4V, AVI, MOV, WMV, F4V, MPG, M4V, MPEG, MP4,
3GP are supported.
Audio: To use this, you must first convert your audio file into an FLV format.
Images, charts, spreadsheets, graphs, and any content that can be converted to a PDF
and uploaded to Prezi: For example, you can take an Excel spreadsheet and convert
it to a PDF and upload it.
Digital images from stock photo sites, your own personal photos, and other photo
sites: You can use any photo you like by making sure to convert it to one of the
acceptable formats above. This could run the gamut from product shots to vacation
photos.
Graphics and images you created from drawing software like Adobe Photoshop: Just
convert them to a PDF.

The maximum file size that you can upload online is 50MB. To use the Load File function,
take the following steps:
i. From the Bubble menu, click Insert. Three smaller bubbles present themselves. Click
the Load File bubble. A Windows file screen opens, asking you to select the file(s) to
upload.
ii. Pick the file you want and click the Open button. You will see a message that says
Downloading Media on the canvas and then your image appears. You can now move
it and work with it as you would any other object on the canvas.
This function featured by the insert bubble allows a user to directly embed a YouTube video
on the canvas just by pasting the YouTube URI either using the dialog box (illustration shown
below) or into a text box on the canvas and this should allow you to play the YouTube video
directly from the canvas. Please note that embedded YouTube videos will only work if you
have an internet connection. Follow the instructions of either of the methods that follow to
add a YouTube video to your Prezi:
Method 1:
i. Copy the URI of the YouTube page with the video you want to embed
ii. Click on the Insert bubble and then click on the YouTube function to display the
insert YouTube dialog box shown below.
iii. Paste the URL into the text box.
iv. Click OK. The video should appear.
Method 2:
i. Copy the URL of the YouTube page with the video you want to embed
ii. Start a new text box by double clicking in Edit mode
iii. Paste the URL into the text box.
iv. Click OK. The video should appear.
