Brief Animaker is a website where the teacher can create
instructions computer animated imagery videos to teach a lesson. The

 Challenges:
1. This tool is not as user friendly as they claim it to
be. So the younger grades might have a little bit
of trouble trying to figure out how to make the
videos.
2. The quick rundown of how the site works was
not very helpful.
3. The site only gives 7 seconds of space to record
your voice, per slide.
4. This site didn’t show how to sync the voice with
the music and the clips.
5. Teacher will not be able to tell if a student
watched the video.

Brief VoiceThread is a website where the teacher can make
instructions slideshows of the lecture that the students are supposed
of how to use to be learning about. In each of the slides, the students
the tool have the choice to write a comment about what the slide
says, they can make a video talking, or they can just talk
using the audio file.
Ideas for how An idea for how this tool can be used is when the
the tool can students are not in school because of COVID-19. This is
be used in a great way for the students to get their lectures in and
PK-12 also engagement as well. Another idea could be students
getting into groups to talk about a project that they were
supposed to do together and instead of using Google
Slides, they use VoiceThread. This way when it is time
to work on it together, they can leave comments about
what they think about each slide. Another way that
VoiceThread can be used in an elementary class or any
class that is, is to do class introductions. Each student can
make a slide about themselves and even add a picture if
 they want to and their classmates can leave comments.
Positives and A positive to using this tool is that the students can

is so much simpler to read about their lesson especially
during COVID-19 when some schools may not be open
right now. Another positive is that it could help the
students’ social skills whenever they make videos of
themselves talking and sending them in. One last positive
could be that student’s parents can see what they are
learning about as well because it is all on the computer
along with all of the comments as well. A challenge
could be that students might feel that since they are
working from home, they might not have to do the work
at all. Another challenge is that every student might want
to just leave comments on every slide. Not that this is a
problem, but it might be more engaging to leave videos
or audio files.

Brief Piktochart is a tool that a teacher or administrator can use
instructions to help show steps or guidelines to a project for students.
of how to use Teachers can use this as a catchy way to give students
the tool their instructions for a project. It can also be used to
show different rules that must be followed. The layout
can be bright and vibrant to catch the eye of the intended
reader. You also have the choice to add pictures
wherever you would like to make the chart more
attractive.
Ideas for how With school systems trying to acclimate back to in
the tool can person learning, there are a lot of rules that must be
be used in followed to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
PK-12 Piktochart can be used to make a step-by-step rule
system just about anywhere in the school. You could
make one and hang it in the restroom about the steps of
properly washing hands. They could be hung in the
hallway and show how to properly walk down the
hallway with social distancing and mask wearing.
Positives and A positive to this tool is that it has many different layouts
challenges of that can be used in order to make the charts look
using the tool appealing and easy to read. This makes it a good tool
during this time where rules are a lot more strict and they
must be followed for public safety. You can also add
pictures from a library that they provide or you can
upload your own pictures if you can’t find one in their
library. A downside is that if you shove too much
information into it, someone might not want to read it if
it looks too jumbled.
