WARM UP
A. Give three things that you expect you will learn in this module.
1. I hope to learn how can I develop my professionalism and what are the required or
expected qualities of a professional.
2. I expect to learn what can I achieve in practicing professionalism. Is there cash
rewards or expensive mementos or priceless exchanges? Or I will only get what
matters most? –INTEGRITY
3. I expect to learn also what can I do to improve myself as a future professional.

B. Pre-Test: Answer the following:


1. How career development can able to help you and the company?
Career development can help me a lot to learn more about my chosen career and
how can I work effectively with my colleagues to achieve our goal in no time. It
can also be a way to learn tips that can be both beneficial to me and my
company’s growth.
2. How do you integrate personal objectives with organizational goal?
I take my personal dreams into account when working in the organization. I
always think what can I achieve in doing the task, the organization has given me
to help me reach my real goal. Sometimes I think of my dream to become a
successful inventor and engineer to help our country whenever I am in a very
dicey situation. I wouldn’t let my team mates fail with me because if we fail, my
dreams will fail to, with the organization where I belong.
3. What are the ways to maintain professional growth and development?
To maintain professional growth and development a person should undergo to the
following: continuous acquisition of knowledge (Continuing Education/ Getting
Licenses/ Certificates), personal/ corporate trainings and instructions (Supervisory
and technical and managerial trainings), and lastly company having an alluring
incentives/ recognitions/ awards.

DO-IT-YOURSELF:
1. Explain the objectives with organizational goals.
Personal objectives can integrate with the organizational goals for the employee has
his own aspirations and commitment to set their personal goals with respect to those
in the corporation, that are finalized through the consensus and sophisticated
methods, which aimed to achieve overall strategic goals.
2. Define the personal growth and work plan.
Personal Growth Plan refers to the individual’s personal assessment/ monitoring
wherein the employee outlines tasks that are needed to be done step by step, their
respected resources and alternatives and their schedules/ due times. Work Plan on
the other hands, pertains to the company’s general outline of the set of goals or
objectives and their respected processes that are need to accomplished, this also
discuss the background, scope of the project and any important details relevant on it.
3. Discuss the performance evaluation and performance appraisal.
Performance evaluation is a constructive process to acknowledge the performance of
non-probationary career employee. That paved the way in addressing the individual
training needs and enable organizational training needs analysis and planning which
are commonly called as Performance Appraisal that are important in the staff
development and work environment.
4. What do you understand by technology resources?
Technology resources are all resources that are electronically-based and/or related
this can be an information, tools or even device. Examples are computers, digital
cameras and scanners that are needed in setting and meeting work priorities and
tasks.
5. What do you understand by maintain professional growth and
recommendations?
Maintaining professional growth is a culture that every individual shall gave
importance to because growth is needed by yourself and the company itself, if you
are growing that means that you are well committed and working hard to achieve the
goals of the organization where you belong. It is a good sign of success. One method
to achieve it is through recommendation. Recommendation is a formal feedback on a
certain performance of an individual suggesting the possible and appropriate actions/
ways to enhance those skills/ abilities, this also introduces someone/ something that
are capable to execute well in a certain field of tasks and that will enable them to
sharpen more their expertise on that field.
