1. What is going on in the Philippines while this text was written?

2. What is meant by BAYANIHAN?
- a Filipino term "bayanihan" comes from the word "Bayan" which means city,
region, or culture in general and hence refers to a sense of collective harmony, unity,
cooperation and individuals working together out of kindness to accomplish a common
purpose, in this case, preventing the development of COVID-19 . In addition, the term
"bayanihan" means being a bayan.

3. How is bayanihan during the pre-colonial Philippines different from bayanihan


during the pandemic?
-Individuals assisted each other with their daily activities such as making or
finding foods, doing laundry, or with their normal life and so on in a Precolonial
Philippines. in a  worldwide pandemic, the rest of the fortunate Filipinos are assisting
those who have been struggling as an outcome of the world's current pandemic.
Bayanihan in helping those in needs, specially those filipinos who are admitted in the
hospital because of the Covid19. We Filipinos are always worried with one another, and
so we are ready to support our brothers and sisters on a local or global scale.

4. How are things different in the Philippines during the pandemic?


- More than a year after the pandemic, not all individuals have received the promised
community resources, prompting them to gather in front of government buildings, which
has not gone well. Uproars within neighborhoods have been identified, contributing to the
lengthy list of pressing issues that local governments must resolve. Private organizations
and charitable people have started to collaborate with local governments and offer
services to those in greatest need. Medical equipment advances were improved by
engineers, and professionals. Awareness programs were converted into multiple
languages, medications and supplements for people with pre-existing diseases were given
priority. Many people have lost their jobs and have been worrying about what they would
do because it is so difficult to look for a new job in this pandemic era.
