DISTINGUISH THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUAL, GROUPS,
ORGANIZATION, AND COMMUNITY
In this Module it figures out the difference between the needs of individuals in the
counseling process, Likewise, groups, organizations and communities as clients for
counseling, their needs are quietly apparent so as the counselors may come up on what
approach they intended to utilize.

Client - A someone who pays for services or advice from a
professional person or organization.
Counseling - Refers to guidance or advice provided to help someone
resolve difficulties or decide issues.
Counselor - A person who give advice or counselling
Individualized - Those individuals who needs to be helped to manage well
Counseling a life – changing situation or personal problem or crisis and
other support needs.
Community - When people experience something collectively, which
