    010 Series of 2020


    January 15, 2020

    REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY PEACE AND ORDER COMMITTEE (BPOC)

    WHEREAS, the Barangay Peace and Order Committee (BPOC) was created by law. E.O. 366 further
    amending E.O. 3049, S. 1987 entitled “Reorganizing the POC”. As amended by E.O. 320, S. 1988 and E.O. 20, S.
    of 1992 and organizing the BPOCs as the implementing arm of the city/municipality POC of the Barangay;

    WHEREAS, in order for this Barangay to comply with this mandate, there is a need for the reactivation
    and reorganization of the BPOC;

    NOW, THEREFORE, by the power vested in me as the Punong Barangay of Mapalad, Tarlac City, I
    hereby reorganize the members of the BPOC to be composed of the following:

    CHAIRPERSON: JONAR T. LIMOS, Punong Barangay


    MEMBERS:
    MR. LOUIE MUSA, SK Chairperson
    MR. EDGAR MAGSILANG, Lupon Member
    MR. ALEX MANZANO, Barangay Tanod
    MRS. LAILA AQUINO, Public School Teacher
    MRS. MARLYN LIMOS, Inter-faith Group Representative
    MRS. CONSUELO NAVARRO, Senior Citizen Representative
    MR. PEDRO MAGSILANG, NGO Representative
    MR. GONZALO DELA CRUZ, NGO Representative

    SECTION 2. FUNCTIONS

    The BPOC shall perform the following functions.

    1. Monitors and coordinates the implementation of peace and order programs and projects at the
    barangay level:
    2. Serves as an information-gathering mechanism;
    3. Monitors and checks the nefarious activities of criminal elements;
    4. Identifies barangay constituents with strong deviant behavior for referral to appropriate authorities;
    5. Maintains continuing dialogue, close coordination and rapport with the higher levels of peace and
    order and public safety councils In its area of responsibility;
    6. Monitors, coordinates, and supervises the operation of all community-based anti-crime movements
    within the barangay;
    7. Makes periodic assessment of the prevailing peace and order situation in their respective areas of
    responsibility and submits reports with appropriate recommendations to the higher level POC; and
    8. Performs such other functions, which may be assigned by the higher POCs.

    SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY.

    This Order shall take effect immediately.
